I've been thinking about collecting Alamo figures (in part because one of the new Desert Village buildings looks like I could use them for that as well as Ancient Egypt, Modern Middle East etc.)

Aide from that one building and the Alamo facade though, can anyone think of any buildings, whether it's by K&C or another manufacturer, that might work as parts of the Alamo? On Sierra's website they have some buildings pictured with the figures, don't know if they were custom made though.

Have you looked at what the Hobby Bunker has to offer - they have their own line of "Alamo" style buildings under Hobby Bunker, Inc. Also, Ron Barzso (Barzso.com) has an "Adobe Village" that would work very well. Classic Toy Soldier also offers many adobe style buildings. And then of course there is Conte who created a series of buildings and sets that made the entire "John Wayne" Alamo. Hope this helps . . . . . . . . . . . . Mike

I used quite a few of the Barzso adobe buildings and walls when I threw together my Alamo dio-you can see how they work on the "Deguello" thread on Diodramas-to see if they might fit in what you have in mind. I also used the Conte Well in the middle of the compound.

I have the K&C facade and also the 7 Conte Alamo playsets. I also have the Brazo Playset that included all of the adobe bulidings. All fo them will work fine with the Alamo. I also have some of the CTS buildings of that era. Good luck with your search.
