Am really interested to know what HB is brewing up now.

All the competitors have hinted their next releases -

King Country - Rommel's horcsh and some 'kind' of Tiger

Figarti - new V2 rocket and command vehicle

Collectible Showcase - LAH Horch and Tiger 1.

So, any news Ana?;)

I believe they're planning something BIG and German. No, it's not a figure of Sgt Schultz from Hogans Heroes :rolleyes:
 
Congrats on the promotion, Oz!:cool: I was just quoting are old buddy Schultz, I really know nothing about HB's upcoming releases . . . :p

You would think an Allied vehicle would be forthcoming just to balance things up, but I'm willing to bet it's a German AFV. If so, then I hope it's a short-barrelled Panzer III.
Having said that, a few members of the forum (including me) have been calling for a "Kelly's Hero's" Sherman. With the Tiger already available, I wonder if HB might go for it. A customised Tiger and "special" Sherman, with figures that "resemble" certain actors, that could be put together to display the stand-off in the movie would cost upward of US$1,200 but I would definitely break my credit card to have them in a dio.

for me, i wont get Oddball's sherman...

..but will get the Tiger, and the scar-faced panzer commander, posed in front of the Tiger with Oddball, Kelly and Sarge discussing Kelly's "proposition":)

OK-if we are going this route I want the Battle of the Bulge Chaffee with Telle Savalas. Now, of course it will have to have the removable blown off turret so that you can display it both ways as well as his hand-held .50 cal.! As for accessories, it will come complete with booze, perfume, stockings and egg crates. For the AXIS we will have the Hessler-Konrad combo complete with a captured G.I. wrapped cake & command vehicle. Hessler's tank will play the B.O.B. film theme as it doubles as a music box for our respective wives. What else? Feel free to add to the madness which I love.

The funny thing is that i used to think that K&C is messing up my mind, as i was afraid i will be drawn into non-essential lines like non-ww2 products.

Now with HB, its worse for me!

Im already messed up - researching for the next colour schemes, unit histories of future POSSIBLE armours (for eg King Tiger). The thing is im not even sure when the armours that i want will be made by HB, goodness, it may be even be 1 year down the schedule.:(

But the mere anticipation is buzzing me!

:D:D Nasir, I know exactly what you mean. I've already got schemes picked out for early Tiger I, Late Tiger II, Late Panther and various flavors of Panzer IV. I am still working on possibilities for Shermans/Fireflys and any Russian tanks that might show up....and that doesn't even touch the less likely stuff.

its great for me to know that i am not alone.:)

i'm glad that there is another collector who is a stickler for historical accuracy, and regards the researching part as integral part of the collecting experience.

before i make my next HB custom orders, i will definitely ask your opinion.;)

I would really like to see an American Halftrtack with a mounted howitzer on it's backside, complete with crew. As for the Brits, a Sherman firefly, to deliver a counter punch to that beautiful custom Tiger!
