Mike,

You could not wait until tomorrow you needed to see the projected costs before you go sleep.

It is an expensive year for all of the Britain ranges.

You are correct Brian - I suppose I will have nightmares now
Mike

Thanks Mike, it is always interesting to see the cost and yet scary at the same time.

I am just collecting the Wm. Britian/1st Gear ACW sets of which I have most of them. I do not plan on collecting any of the Wm Britain/Ertl/RC2 ACW sets.

No its not me Ron. I haven't bought anything off of an eBay auction in a long long time. I do however have 3-4 "go to" eBay stores that I purchase from when I am looking for a particular figure set.

The sets I have highlighted above are the ones I have initially pre-ordered. The remaining sets will have to be acquired as my wallet allows . . . . . . Mike

Thanks for posting this, now I can plan ahead. I'm buying most of these. I wish they would make a few calvary troopers that aren't shooting to act as General Buford's personal security detail.

Mike, I have edited your list in order for the more astute collector who portrays the battles from a "what should have happened" Southern point of view of the only sets that really matter.............................:D:D

And before we start Fort Sumter all over again and proceed thru 1865, this is only a joke!

Cheap year thus far!!!

TD

Being a transplanted Southern boy myself I can truly see the merit of your revision Tom. Years ago I actively participated in the ACW re-enactment hobby as a Confederate. When asked why I did this (living in Wisconsin) I always responded, "Because I am from the SOUTHERN part of the state :p:rolleyes:. This will be the year for WB Union sets for sure, but then last year leaned in favor of the Reb sets. Keep it fun . . . . . . . Mike

I wouldn't fret too much boys... there are plenty of Johnny Rebs comin down the pike... we do need targets here for the Federal artillery.

Hi Ken!

Good to hear from you, I knew I would get a reply! I look forward to seeing you in Gettysburg so we can debate the finer points of the War!

:D:D:D:D

Tom

Mike, good for you, keep up the resistance behind the lines!

Tom

Just to let you know, I recently finished another five ACW generals for the series, four of them secessionist types, and one iconic Yankee that made it to the White House.
Three of the Rebs served in the Western Theatre of war so I guess we should see some Western troops up the road. Think Franklin, Corinth, Shiloh, Vicksburg, and maybe even Pea Ridge... details later in the year!
Ken

Ken: I am patiently waiting for the 2010 dismounted Union Cavalry along with General Buford. Is there any chance dismounted Confederate Cavalry or perhaps a Confederate Cavalry General is on the drawing table?

Sounds good. Maybe a Cleburne and a A.S. Johnston, and perhaps a Forrest? -- Al

The short answer is all of the above for both of you... with one of the items already in pre production.
Nuff said for now...
All the Best!
