This Civil War range is just so wonderful !

Anyone else having trouble keeping up ??

Are you kidding?.I've sold all family members and now have to sell the cook, butler, gardener and French chambermaid!.I'll soon be sat in this dusty old mansion surrounded by nothing but toy soldiers, like something from a Dickens novel;)

So yes is the answer Ron!:D

There is a certain amount of credence to the benefits of disciplining oneself to collect just one particular- but very large- conflict ;)

Keep up? LOL. That train left the station a LONG time ago.:D:D:D -- Al

That's true Bob but sometimes hard to do.

BTW, picked up Stillness at Appomatox and one of the Rhea books.

May I suggest Mr. Lincoln's Army and Glory Road also by Catton.
I've been reading Civil war Books for 30 years and Catton's Trilogy is unequaled.
My 2 bit's anyway.

I'm partial to D.S. Freeman's "Lee's Lieutenants". An excellent study of southern command, it is a classic and not to be missed for the ACW student. -- Al

Now everybody is doing Buford and Union dismounted cavalry... and all great-looking figures in their own style... what to do... Love the Lincoln and generals set and Custer looks great! :)

Even better one particular but rather small conflict.
Anglo Zulu War anyone? :D:D

The new Union guys are a must have .. I hope there will be a second wave, just like for the Rebs. Some of these cavalry men are "missing" their mounts  .. so it would be complete to have the "guy holding on to the horses" set too.

Anybody else interested in these ?

Sorry to be asking for more so soon. :) :)

I don't collect ACW anymore but pre ordered the Custer Figure.Looks more like him than any other I have seen.

From those who know, is the uniform right for his adventures in the West such that we might see a Little Big Horn range?

You are certainly right there. I did that until 2 years ago, and it was much simpler and a heck of a lot less expensive than tanks and planes.

I'm with OD on that observation. You get a taste and then you want more morsels. For example the two phased Confederate Cavalry release from last year was splendid but it shows it can be expanded. Now the upcoming Union Cavalry rollout cobranded with Treefrog appears to be top notch. Yes horse holding troopers are a must to tie in the dismounted Union troopers as well as a few more mounted troopers. After that a double back to dismounted Confederates and a couple of horse holding troopers to the grey line. From there another phase of wounded Federal's much like the 2nd phase of Confederate Cavalry would also augment the line. OK its a bit early for those requests but it illustrates how just one or two releases can trigger requests and needs of just one conflict and one branch.

Agreed, I hope to see some more mounted Union cav. in the near future to go along with these pieces. I am very pleased to see that Andy bypassed the yellow manes he used with the Confed. Cav. Only my opinion but I thought they were to yellow.

Hi Jefman,
Just to reiterate, these are not cobranded with Treefrog, we just happened to feature them in our upcoming co-op ad.

MarkSable, the fence in the ad is not K&C-issued but something they picked up for the ad dio. They do make accessory pieces from time to time though so if there was enough interest...who knows? ;)

Regards,
