"And this is a piece of the 110 I shot down".

A RAF pilot (in an attempt to impress the lady) tells her about his recent victory while displaying the trophy tailpiece from the 110 he shot down over southern England. And she asks, "so you say he came from over that way?" while pointing in the direction of which the invading German airplanes had approached the airfield the previous day.

Just got in this RAF009 figure with tailpiece and wanted to take some photos along with the RAF018 WAAF.

Background Hurricane and sitting figure from Corgi. Hut/chair/table from Frontline.

Nice shots WWII buff. Your blue sky back drop came out well. I have the RAF tail trophy set also. It has a lot of diorama possibilities to be used with.

Duke mate your on fire great pic,like that little shed in the back ground to.

Very nice Duke, love the story you tell about your pics .Love the black and white pics .
(Ps: is she a dumb blond ? )

Very nice pic's mate, I hadn't thought about geting the pilot with the tail trophy but you have made me re think now with these great pic's! Oh by the way how did you acheive the sky & clouds background? It looks really good!!!

Thanks all for the nice comments. :) I already had the WAAF figure and thought she would go well with the RAF009 pilot/tailpiece figure since they are book looking up and at the same angle. Craig, the backdrop sky/clouds is just a poster. One of the pictures has a circular glare in it which is just the reflection off the backdrop poster from the light I was using and I was going to delete it, but I thought it kind of resembled the sun so included it in the post.

Duke

I love everyone of the variations of this very original theme. That has to be one of the greatest "pickup" lines ever^&grin

Duke the reflection of the light looks just like the sun if you hadn't of said it was an accident I'd of thought you had set out to put it in there! As ever really great shots mate keep up the good work!

Thanks again everyone for the encouraging comments. I appreciate them all.{sm4}

One thing I meant to mention in the original post is that I put a flat finish on the boots and cane of the pilot as well as the shoes of the WAAF. There was shiny gloss paint on these items, but I prefered a more subdued tone.

Nice diorama. I've got that Corgi Hurricane too, a very nice piece depicting the plane Lewis from South Africa piloted. The K&C figures fit well with it too. Kudos. {bravo}}

Thanks. That's right on the Corgi Hurricane, Lewis' plane from No. 85 Squadron Castle Camps, 1940. It's a great model and I agree goes well with the K&C figures even if only 1/32 (at least in the background).
