These wagon sets are so unique Martyn. They add so much more to a diorama. Just amazing. Robin.

Many thanks Steve:salute::

I've got to get here one day..............

Surrey County Council - The Queen's Royal West Surreys and the Boer War

.............no excuse as it is only 1.5 miles from my house became

Take care mate

Martyn:)

Hi Martyn
Back in the 80's I lived less than three hundred yards from the main gate. If you take a drive round the houses there there's very little left inside the gate just the turreted Guard house, now six flats. and a row of Victorian barrack buildings converted to houses.
Other than the RWS, back in WW2 the Army even took over the school next to it that my mother had attended, the Barracks became an ATS camp later the WRAC.
In 1936 a small part of a John Mills film O.H.M.S. was filmed there. Dirk Bogarde was demobbed there, Michael Caine did his basic training there for his National Service and a fair chunk of Carry on Sergeant was filmed there !
