I am concerned at the arbitrary nature of what constitutes a ban?? Don't care for myself as I float around looking and posting in all the threads as there is so much good stuff on here.

If someone thinks something is say too expensive for the detail or has insufficient detail or thinks its wrong do they not have the right to say that???? I think many who are calling for bans have been in my time at least on here very vitriolic in posts I have seen.

Its very much kettle calling the frying pan dirty a**e and it seems that everyone who has participated in these issues has suddenly become whiter than white and, expousing that they have come to the table with clean hands.

I hope a new approach to those who just do it for the fun is rolled out right across the board as its not just the usual suspects notably, in the LAH threads many of those heavily moaning and calling for this or that could well end up falling on their own swords

You see what I'm saying Mitch, it's a deliberate ra ra with the smilies designed to tKe the p*** out of people, and often these post are in the middle of a perfectly valid conversation that the other producers flag waver could just stay out of.

I have yet to see someone come on here, offer come criticism- constructive, deranged, paranoid or otherwise and immediately get the axe. It just doesn't work like that. No one is saying not to offer criticism if you feel the need, some folks are just pointing out that it is rather repetitive.

I am on lunch break right now- I am going to take a couple minutes and produce some stats I think the forum members might find interesting.............

It is great to see Andy posting again.Hopefully he will start to enjoy reading and participating in this forum again. If I personally have irritated anyone here I hope that was not the case.Viewing other collectors dioramas,exchanging ideas and many times recieving helpfull advise from others are all a plus here on the forum. I enjoy
immensely collecting King&Country items. Today the Postal Service will deliver to my door a HJ Panther,WS halftrack,Winter Polizei armored car, and a Polizei figure set.
This turns a simple friday in May into a Great friday in May ! Maybe if things turn around in the right direction we will continue to hear more from the creator of these
top quality collectibles. I pledge now to do my part

alright, I did a quick calculation under the KC forum alone- these numbers may be off a tad but they are relatively close.

So far, for May, we have had 43 threads started with 980 posts. Of those threads, 39 were calm and rational and 4 digressed into chaos. One thread was deleted for fear of a "Storm in a tea cup."

Given those numbers, of the 4 threads that fell into chaos, there were 493 posts out of the 980- essentially 4/43 threads made up half of the posts this month and they were "chaotic" in nature. I didn't break out each post in the "chaotic" threads as good/ not good but you get the picture- the bulk of the May 2011 posts under KC were confined to antagonistic threads..............

And people wonder why ACN keep to himself??

I do not think we are talking about arbitary bans. Rob gives a good example of what I am referring to. I am pretty sure that Peter and the Mods have a pretty good idea which members are the ones most likely to disrupt threads and in which areas they are most likely to do so. I think most K&C fans who have a "usual suspect" would probably be thinking about the same person. It is irritating for forum members and I am sure the Mods would appreciate less friction.

I fully see what your saying and have never disagreed. how many times have I said you can tell the difference when its what is called on here baiting and when its hey this is not right.

Its up to the mods etc to have a quiet word and if that fails take action I just think that if they are racking their brains then its going to be heavy handed and just ensure censorship.

I just cannot see why the animosity exists between K&C and FL???? nowhere else is there such hostility between manufacturers or such rabid defence (which, is totally alien to me) by collectors to their choosen brand.

Absolutely spot on Mitch. I don't get it either??. Just because I'm a huge K&C fan, does that mean I cannot think FL's ACW figures are superb, how narrow minded and frankly weird would that be?. I also know a couple of the biggest FL fans who I know do not like K&C's product, but again it doesn't mean I cannot talk to them does it?!. Wouldn't that be like 'Toy Soldier racism':wink2:^&grin

Hey, maybe I'm totally wrong and things don't get as bad as I think, I just enjoy this forum and hope perhaps those who've left may come back, the more the merrier etc.

Some of the repeat offenders have been called out by posts from other members, but as they calling out was below the level of a 120mm, it may not have been noticed. It certainly seemed to have no effect.

I have K&C and FL NAPs They are even mixed together on the same shelves. I am amazed that fights don't constantly break out between the figures. I suppose some figures are smarter than some collectors. {sm3}

Regarding PM's. I have written a few times to the person I consider the most disruptive in the K&C area. In particular in relation to his repetitive posts about something that is beyond the control of K&C or any brand. I pointed out he was creating a negative atmosphere. Have also written to Mods / TF about him. Had no effect whatsoever. From what I have seen he would have the most deletions.

Great one!!! I have noticed my couple German TGM figures break out into fisticuffs with their KC bretheren when they get posed too close- must be some kind of "new kid on the block" complex!! {sm4}
