I've pm'd him several times and no answer, anyne heard from him?^&confuse:confused:

I doubt it went that far North, but he was online just 3 days ago.

Have emailed him but no reply. He may well be on summer holiday as the kids are out of school, however not only was there trouble in Nottingham where he lives but a Police station there was fire bombed during the riot. I hope he's ok and if not on holiday just very very busy.

Rob,

I hope Simon is OK. As Scott said, he logged on to the forum on the 15th August, 3 days ago. He last posted on 4th August just before the trouble started. My guess he is very busy and stretched too the limit.

Funny. I have just watched Robin and the seven Hoods and have just been beaten to that punchline by Brett!!!!! The lists of injuries to officers show Nottingham faired well so as he was online a few days ago as mentioned perhaps just too busy to respond!!

Sorry Scott,
Been a bit tied up, although I'm sunning myself in Crete at the moment and have unfortunately missed the fun and games over the last week or so. Thought it was a bit inconsiderate that they didn't wait until I'd finished my holidays. That said, I've managed to split my head open whilst on holiday requiring an addition of a(nother) bald patch and stitches, so might have been safer in full public order kit. :rolleyes2:
Nottingham had 4 police stations petrol bombed and about 15 police vehicles petrol bombed, so they had their fare share of BBQs.
Back in to the UK tomorrow, but will probably be deployed down to London for a bit once back.
Will give you a shout when things settle down a bit.
Cheers for the concern.

Sorry to hear that mate, hope you are soon on the mend. Is it too early to ask how you did it? Hope you are enjoying your hols (apart from head wound of course) and mind how you go in London my friend, you know how many drunken yobs, looters and rioters there are there, and thats just Jeff, James and Bob on show day!:wink2:

All the best

Now you're putting me on the spot. Haven't had time to think of a heroic answer to the 'how'd it happen' question. Stood up in to a wall mounted room safe. It won.{sm2}

Simon,

Are they building safes in pubs nowadays? :rolleyes2:

Stay well.

Simon,

Glad to hear you're doing ok.. I hate to see all the trouble in the UK... As you know I had my only visit there (so far) in 2008, and loved the country..

Too bad you were out of town when we were in Nottingham. Perhaps next time - we'll be able to hoist a couple at "Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem"...... Hoping for a return in a couple of years...

Cheers,

Jim

Jim, it would be my pleasure to do the tour of Nottingham's finest drinking establishments. Hope you can make it back in a couple of years.

In my defence M'Lord, not a drop had passed my lips (well, not since the previous evening, when quite a few drops may have passed) :wink2:

Thanks mate. Although lying in a ditch somewhere wouldn't necessarily be stretching the imagination. {sm4}

On the hunt for the elusive green paint ( or barmaid ) most probably! :rolleyes2::wink2:^&grin

Great to hear you are A O.K. Simon (except for your head I guess). I just figured you probably hurt your head by trying to take some photos from standing in a chair (like I did a while back) and taking a fall onto your noggin! (chair standing photography is not recommended by the way).{sm4}

Flesh wound TTFU.....................^&grin glad to hear all is well ive missed your humour.......................^&grin^&grin^&grin

Missed the time when Simon was MIA, glad to hear he is safe from the riots and off having drunken accidents with room safes on Crete.:tongue: Seriously, though, Simon, I'm glad you weren't mixed up in those riots and are (relatively) safe and sound . . . ^&grin
