Anyone recieved FJs yet?? (2 Viewers)

Hey Sammy, I have a few on the way....Should receive them this week....I will evaluate and post my opinions....Hoping that the helmuts are not an issue as there were some concerns expressed by fellow collectors regarding the accuracy of the helmut colors.

Hi Frank,
Just wanted to remind ya we are all still waiting for your review of the FJ Figures that you received, and some accompanying photo's as well. Its always good to have reviews from fellow collectors, from what I have seen they look excellent and the Helmet color is a non issue. Its also nice to see that First Legion has fixed unnatural looking MG42 ammunition belt which was of concern with many in the pre release photo's. Really wonderful figures, I'm looking to add several to my collection as well a bit done the road, finest FJ figures I have ever seen. regards Gebhard

Hi Gebs, I did purchased and receive all but 2 figures of the First Legion WWII Fallschrimjagers.....They are EXCELLENT as most guys already know....helmets are a non-issue.......sorry no photos to share at this time.......but you and my fellow FL colleages can rest assured there are none better...repeat NONE Better....First Legion Rules^&grin....Yet again.....and again:salute:::salute:::salute::

Frank you have got to be one of the biggest First Legion collectors out there but you never share any pics/photos/displays?? What gives mate??? Are you the greedy kid in the sandbox who doesn't like to share:confused:...Sammy

Nope...Not at all Sammy...Actually, I like to share many things... I just don't take many photos at all of anything these days....I don't own a digital camera...My wife does and even she does not use it very often....I don't even know where it is in the house........I'm just lazy in that regard I guess .....it's just not something I do on a regular basis.....but I can reassure you, don't hestiate in purchasing these FL Fallschrimjagers....You will really like them:smile2:...Best Regards Frank

You guys crack me up.:)

Did I say something funny ^&confuse or are you referring to Frank and his FL rules crap ? To be honest it gets on my nerves and I wish he'd drop it, but hey it's a free world. I really wish Frank would also put to bed the rumors that he doesn't actually own any First Legion products to bed and post some pictures of his figures, ATV's and conversions. I'm beginning to wonder myself as I don't think there could possibly be anyone under 100 that doesn't own or at least have access to a digital camera ^&confuse^&confuse even if it's only attached to that other new fangled invention the cell phone :wink2:.. Gebhard

Not that it really matters.....but rest assured Gebs I do have many FL Products....WHY? because I think they are the best most realistic product out there today.......That's just a fact....I guess folks will just have to take my word on that one....Again not that it matters....and yes I guess it is a free world or so they say....rarely and sometimes.....Best regards

I just picked up mine today....I dont think there is a problem with the paint

BUT..................................

WOW are they small..........I mean small

I am the one always remarking about figures being too big....Now this...................I am shocked....

Alex, what size were you exspecting?? Sahara Joe posted some photos of the Paras, SS, FJs, beside each other and they seem to measure up pretty good to me, (although my SS seem a tad bigger, but nothing out of reach) so what are your issues with the FJs?? small compared to what??...Sammy

Alex, I don't have any of the FL US para's yet....The First Legion SS Waffen, the Fallschrimjagers, and all the Stalingrad (German and Russians) all seem to be very size compatible. (that is 1:30th).....Are the US para's larger????...If they are, that is a deal killer for me.....Are they indeed larger???? Please advise ....I hope not it does not seem so from the photos on this thread.....could you do a side by side photo comparison?....Thank You in advance....We must have accurate scale consistency at least "within the range" we are collecting.

I will give it a closed look it later today and report here, I will do pics.......If there looks to be a unacceptable problem....I will have to bring it to my NO SPIN ZONE

I love FL...... I hope my initial assessment is wrong .....The only bad sign is my 90 year old father, who I have introduced to the hobby since he has been living with me, checked out one of the figures with me when I was showing him stuff after I got back from a show I attended and said " Boy they look small "... HE is VERY familiar with how much I like FL and we quickly broke out one of my Paras for comparison.

I was pressed for time so admittedly it was a quick assessment,

He has a hobby background, as we built many train layouts together over the years and he sits in on many of my diorama projects, and is VERY aware if the scale / size issue in the hobby.

I will get back you you as soon as I can......If it is BAD NEWS, I have all of them and will sell them for %15 off by tomorrow.

I have no more tolerance for inaccuracy no matter who manufacturer it is.

Alex...

I have seen some and they seem fine. Mine are on the way but, I saw a mates he has six and they seem standard sizes. My SS are larger and I would say the US Para's are also a bit bigger but, that was explained as down to sculptor and that each range then would be compatible with each other. I am sure that is what I read on here??

All...

Funny to read that Frank is being accused of having no FL it must do the rounds as I was accused of having six lumps of cheap polystone once!! I have moved on now I have seven and a couple of figures!!LOL

Show what you want when you want. There are plenty who I would like to see post FL stuff before Frank!! I suppose an obligatory ending... ''Non picture posters rule'' LOL

Absolutely Agree.....We must have some consistency of scale or NO SALE.....A good rule for ALL to follow.

In looking at the situation again I think there is enough to open an investigation....I have to bring the crew in...I cant determine myself....I have many supporting photos as we progress

I am bringing it to the BGA No Spin Zone....A posting is up already.

Once we get a handle on it....I will post the prevailing opinion here, for those who do not participate there.

The some of FL Waffen are oversized compared to the Fallschrimjagers....NOT GOOD....The New Fallschrimjagers are definitely smaller and IMO correct size 1:30th.....If the para's are oversized I will not be buying them.....I will be holding off on all purchases until this scale issue is addressed.

Hi Alex,
What is all this no spin zone crap ^&confuse^&confuse and what's the BGA ??, if you and your dad feel they are too small that's fine:wink2:. I don't think anyone here is gonna cry or shout you down. As far as I'm concerned everyone has their own opinion and that's what makes the world go round. But if you have found some Historical inaccuracies please do share, I have looked at the figures a few times and can find nothing wrong with the Uniforms or equipment.

If your gonna dump them please pm me I'd be interested in a few of them for the 15% off you mention. Also if you know of any company producing higher quality sculpted and painted figures representing the German Fallschirmjager of WWII please let me know as well before I buy these. I'm always looking for the best figures to add to my collection and will gladly pay you a 100 dollar finders fee, for turning me onto them. thanks Gebhard

This is the very reason I don't do the reviews here.......The review is in progress....I will give the general consensus here after it is calmly and intelligently addressed in the BGA NO SPIN ZONE.

We deal in fact and each collector takes it from there.

Uniforms and equipment are fine, there may be a paint problem with the sand color and size only ( Even with that they are excellent ) But the facts need to be known

Vezz already stated his intentions from some of the initial FACTUAL dialogue

Hi Frank,
I'm getting a little confused as just yesterday you told me and I quote "

and now all the sudden they are UNDERSIZED ^&confuse^&confuse why no mention of this until Alex said something ^&confuse^&confuse . IMO your giving more credence to the guys who say you really don't own any First Legion figures. Just for the record, I believe you own all you say you have, but I do think this latest revelation a bit strange.. regards Gebhard

Hi Alex,
I'm asking again what is the BGA NO SPIN ZONE ?????
Could I also ask why if the review is in progress and being intelligently addressed there why ..the post here yesterday saying..

"WOW are they small..........I mean small

I am the one always remarking about figures being too big....Now this...................I am shocked...."

I would think, it more prudent to wait until all your " FACTS" were in order. I'm really looking forward to your review, and please keep me in mind for the 15% discount. That's just the facts from old Gebhards no spin zone :wink2:sorry I couldn't resist.. regards Gebhard
