That's all this month folks, I hope you enjoyed the pictures and please feel free to contact us if you wish to touch base or buy any of our products. The best email is welcome@gunnclub.co.uk for any correspondence. I will leave you with a few pointers for life in general:
1. Never under any circumstances take sleeping pills and a laxative on the same night.
2. There is a very fine line between a hobby and mental illness.
3. Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance dude.
4. You should not confuse your career with your life, your life is far more important than your career.
5. People who want to share their religious views with you almost always never want you to share your religion with them.
6. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not really a nice person are they?
7. And finally, from Nuri Vitachi, topically: there is a new way to measure IQ. Start with 150 and subtract the number of toilet rolls you bought last week or the week before when the panic started.

In conclusion, I wish you all safety from the corona virus. Look for the positives that are here now because of it.

There are so many things we can learn if we tackle the challenges, not give in to them.

Get that thrill you feel from helping others who are not so lucky as you. Keep in touch with your friends and family. Don’t take work too seriously.

Look after the old folk: As they are now calling them, the vanishing baby boomers!

Best wishes The Gunn Team

Dear All
Welcome to April 2020 newsletter with a small selection of new products hopefully to tempt you into splashing out and beating those worldwide blues we all seem to be going through at the moment. Our factory seems to be getting back on track with production which is a positive sign and means we can all hopefully return to a normal pattern of lifestyle in the near future once the dust settles. Apologies for the photos but we had to take these in our office using a home style studio, I hope they do not detract from the quality of the product which has definitely improved. I actually think the photos look better than the normal ones but of course I am biased!

Really like the sculpt and positioning of these 2 USMC figures.
As of now there are no Bazooka teams from K&C for their USMC sets, so glad to see these.

But … what is the reason for the 'bright" lime green coloring on the bazooka and the tufts of bright lime green grass on the base?? ^&confuse
They will not go well with the K&C USMC sets .
Sorta' reminds me of Easter Basket grass …:p

eb.jpg

I removed the green grass on my 2 previous TG USMC Artillery sets (of three figures), but it was only a small patch.

For these I would have to re-paint the bazooka as well. Not a lot of work, but should I have too?

There is no lime green on any of our sets fortunately, or unfortunately for us its the light reflecting off the base and the bazooka. Once our photographer reopens we can get all our sets shot again in a more professional way.
The shots came out great on the phone but once you download to Mailchimp and resize them it tends to play havoc with the photos. We were thinking of setting up a whatsapp group for the photos each month and we could send out that way if there was enough interest.

And why does the bazooka look like it's plugged on the end?

Nice to see an Aussie Land Rover form the Vietnam era ... this is the vehicle I learned to drive in 4x4 and so has a special place in my military history.

We used them all the time, and for a while as the gun tractor for the L5 105mm Pack Howitzer, before we got the US M2A1 105mm Howitzer.

Hey John, I'm also looking forward to checking out the Landrover model, isn't K & C releasing a version?

BTW, I learnt to drive in a Short Wheel Base Landrover. It was back in the early 1970's, first year of High School if memory serves. It was on a Sheep Station of around 100,000 acres on the Darling River, near Tilpa N.S.W. It even had it's own wharf back in the day when wool was important. Amazing to think paddle steamers traveled that far, and further, from the port in South Australia considering how shallow those inland rivers usually are.

Yes, that was mentioned in July by Andy when he was 'down under'. I'm sure that it will be coming, but who knows when, it all depends on the factories getting back into production and the the freighters flying around the world ........

Lets just be thankful that TGM has been able to fill that gap with this vehicle, I'm sure it will sell like 'hot cross buns' :) :)

Obee mate,
Loved your photos of you and your gun crew.
However, I find this vehicle and especially the gunner to be very disappointing. If this is a Convoy Escort Vehicle and shows no weathering and lacking radio fittings it gets a C minus. The gunner is wearing American issue boots and not GP boots. Because the the gunners were highly exposed when standing in the rear of this vehicle they were issued with helmets and flak jackets for extra protection. Rating D minus.

Cheers Howard
