Are most posters afraid??? (2 Viewers)

.....The bickering may resume:)

I fully recognize that there are some people who earn a living on these trivial pieces of sculpted metal. If I can do anything to help out a friend who got, imo, a raw deal that could affect their way of living and putting food on their table, call me the biggest b!tch on the planet. I may be a lot of things- but loyalty is something I value more than anything- one of these vendors has been shaking my hand at the end of every transaction for the past 10 years- turning my back on them now would be a sin.:mad:

I'd go to bat for any of these guys who I felt got a bad call.

If there is a fear of honesty here it seems to be a more a fear of being honest with one's self. It is fascinating, even in this discussion, how some who are quick to make generalizations about others seem unable to recognize those characteristics in themselves.:) There is a lot to recommend in the old phrase, "walk a mile......"

Currahee...

Great trait to have mate loyalty is paid lip servive by some it good to see someone hold it so dear

Well said....Loyalty is earned and valuable.....Heavy Handed Methods seldom result in a Loyal Following...even worse is Posting Punitive Actions on the forum against dealers... not right...These Dealer/ Manufacturer squabbles are best handled "privately" between the two parties where they may be able to resolve problems....or dissolve business relationships...IMO

Excellent post, I rate loyalty very highly indeed, I only collect K&C and Figarti in any amount and I collect them from only K&C UK and Clive Gande at Grey Goose. I consider these guys friends before suppliers (even though they don't like me!;):D)

Rob

The only loyalties I have are for My Family, friends and my favorite dealers. I buy any and all if it appeals to me.

As far as fear goes. Are you kidding?????? I'm the bleedin' Kilted Vampire! The only thing I fear is She who must be obeyed.....

Here I say what I want when I want. But I see no reason to deliberately bait any member.

Never felt afraid to post here, its always been a friendly, enthusiastic, passionate place. There are many heated exchanges and often arguments, but its just an expression of the joy and dedication this hobby instills in people.

That's just good practice mate.

They love you Rob. They'll even point you in the direction of the Priory once they've loved the plastic out of you. :p

(NB. This is in no way a slur against Mr Tony "Nine Finger" Neville or Mr Clive "Goosey" Gande, who are both fine, upstanding pillers of our addiction )

Well, I aspire to the dizzy heights you mention and it's not worked for me yet.

Now don't do yourself down mate, what did you do with that £1.33 we all chipped in for after your pole dance in the bar at the last show?.

Rob

It would have been £2 Simon, but James said it made him feel queasy so he took 67p out as compensation!

Rob

Fair one. I was actually prepared to write him out a cheque at the time. It can't have been comfortable viewing.

Now if you'd stood on the chair as the barmaid does......

I couldn't afford the compensation for that mate. Reminds me, I must pick up the kilt from the dry cleaners before December.

Yes you were so brazen in that kilt last year, I hear sales of pickled eggs plummeted in that bar in minutes!

I have been so recently involved with this forum.......but it just seems that most members are afraid to be honest??

Yes or No

Interesting question. The internet does allow for many to "hide in the shadows". We've got over 1800 members, yet only a small handful post regularly. Most posts have way more views than posts so people are out there are passively engaged.....and that's just from members. I'll bet there are way more that watch but are not registered with Treefrog. C'mon everyone, start participating, its more fun to hear lots of viewpoints than the "same old, same old" group all the time. :p
