Are we tired of ACW Ironclads Yet? (2 Viewers)

Finished the Osage a month ago, but have been unwilling to play at the resizing of my photos, which has become a drawn out operation for me..First photo is of the completed ship. Length is about 28" ,deck width near 6"...Michael

The helmsman cabin was made using real thin craft sticks. The cabin was painted yellow, then diluted oak ( almost like a wash effect )..The steering wheel is Lego. The metal stand is wire hanger cut and bent for effect shown..

Another fantastic build Michael.

Have you tried using photobucket or creating an album on the forum. Both are easy to do and will re-size the photos to the forum specs and save you the frustration of having to do it.

These sailors Yankees ask permission to board and deal with southern rebels:D:D:D

I have always loved the naval history of the Civil War and have been fascinated with the Confederate ironclads, the CSS Albemarle is my favorite, years ago a friend of mine made me this model. It is 4 feet long and weighs a ton! The hull is solid and the casemate is removable and the two cannons pivot, I will post some more pics later, I am going to repaint the ship in the near future and will post some newer pics:D

The K&C Berghof boxes should give an idea of the size of this ironclad!

Very nice..Most of my models were compressed to about 27" or so..Would take too much room otherwise...Michael

Didn't get to see your Ironclad until a few minutes ago Mike and it sure turned out nicely.......The Lt.

Repainted the Albermarle and now I am weathering her, she is looking mean!! Yankees beware:D

the ram, battered and used from sinking Union shipping!

pilot house detail, I added the helman's platform and there is a crew member peering out of the vision slits

The crew member is 1/32 scale...

just testing, does anyone know how to post pictures? i have an album ACW.Ironclads with some pic in it but i cannot get to post them !

Are you talking about the photos that are in your album and posting them on this thread??

If so then try this. (I usually have two IE windows open, the thread in one window and the album in the other)

Click on the picture you wish to share at the bottom of it you will see BB Code right click in the box and copy the text, then go to the other window right click and paste the text. Repeat as necessary.

Then save the thread and when you view it the pictures will appear :)

Hope that helps.

(A tip once you do this don't move your photos as they will no longer show up in the thread)

ok i think if you can see them in the album i`ll leave it there for now, whilst i get the gist of this forum thing ...but thanks for the reply
