hi "lovers" of the First Empire

BELGIUM 1815 Riders duel

spear or sword?
Best.

Another good one Guy.It also poses an interesting question-lance v sword?Conventional wisdom amongst English cavalrymen at the time of Waterloo was that if you could get inside the lance, then the lancer was dead.Easier said than done in my opinion, bearing in mind that Napoleon himself introduced lancers into his army after he noticed the reluctance of his own cavalry to face lancers on the eastern front.Again, well done.

1815 "with comrade ...."
.... in recognition towards the wood of Hougoumont, our sharpshooter from 1 light infantry regiment surprised by an unexpected charge of a Royal Horse Guards ...... luckily for him his comrade Sapper comes help.......
Best.

Wonderful dio Guy! You make excellent dioramas that really showcase how well painted and sculpted FL figures are.
Cheers,
Brendan

Hi Guy,

Very nice dio, that would be an interesting clash of arms :salute:: best Gebhard

I went through this thread again. Really spectacular work.

The nice thing about this period is the combat ranges are much shorter than WWII so you can realistically fit a lot more figures in a given space. It makes for some really impressive scenes.

Marshal Ney who received the title of Prince of Borodino (following the Battle of BORODINO, is separated from the main army.
