Who made the gun and limber?
-Sandor

Hello Sandor,
the artillery and the front part of a collection distributed by the press editor ATLAS - MHSP (manufacture historical toy soldiers - lead material but not called "Zamak" lighter - sold unpainted) in French manufacturing originally (1970), updated and produced in China.
Scupture very well for this room but enough for horses and pedestrians.
I painted horse and gun in this picture.
Attached some web links for more information.
Best.

This is fantastic. It is not just the craftsmanship that you exhibit, it is also the imagination that is evidenced in the design of the building.

1814: battle of ORTHEZ

February 27, 1814 at 9:00 am:

The fighting takes place in the northwest of the city of Orthez, to the heights of St. Boes, between the forces of Marshal SOULT and British forces of General Spanish-Portuguese Wellington

témoingnage an English battle on this: "... the village was strongly defended by the enemy of our approach, we opened a heavy fire on and for a long time kept his positions stubbornly defending the position entrusted to him. '
References 1RGT LIGHT INFANTRY arrived this morning:
As usual, I adapted my "toy soldiers" in this scenario, using my last sets made for my next diorama.:)

Hi all,
Small set scene of my latest acquisition::)
Wagram July 6, 1809: Lasalle falls in battle
Separated temporarily from his hussars, notify a battalion of infantry and enemy tries cuirassiers with the 1st Regiment, to disperse. He then falls in battle, struck in the head by a bullet fired by a Hungarian grenadier retirement. The eve of the battle, opening his luggage and found his broken pipe, a bottle of the liqueur and the glass covering was broken by his wife, he said to his aide, the squadron leader of Coëtlosquet: "I will not survive this day."
He died at age 34, having exceeded the limit of four years he had set himself (he said'' All hussars not die 30 years is a bloody fools)

Hi Guy,
Nice staging for this wonderful set.
I received this set a few days ago, but no time to take some pics, working on two dioramas!
Best regards
Xavier

it's me again .... ^&grin
to finish my day happy!
After Lasalle, it was the turn of the "old Blücher" come into scene.
Napoleon's last victory, which did not reach the extent he had hoped, that is to say, the destruction of the Prussian army, because the combination of his army around Wavre would enable the persistent Blücher come save Wellington.
"Old Blücher" leading his battalion as reinforcements to Ligny ....

PONIATOWSKI Joseph-Antoine-Marshal of the Empire (1763-1813)
He was a man of noble character, full of honor and bravery. I intended to make him king of Poland if my shipment from Russia was happy.
(Napoleon Bonaparte)
Poniatowski ......., then decided to retire to avoid the handful of men who had left the rigors of captivity. He paused for a moment on the edge of the Pleisse, as he had sworn to before Napoleon, or to sacrifice to spend on the other side of the river, he hesitated ......... ....
Promoted to Marshal of France three days before, by the Emperor, Poniatowski is the only foreigner to receive the marshal's baton from the hands of Napoleon (16 October 1813).
But a few days later, covering the retreat of Leipzig, he drowned in the Elster.
(adaptation "very personal" these historical facts ...)^&grin:eek:
Guy.:salute::

Guy, I am always looking forward to your posts. Thank you for sharing your collection and photos with us. I also very much appreciate the little lecture on military history, albeit "personal".
