Arnhem 44 Sets Just Arrived! (1 Viewer)

Guys, my girlfirend is over today, and I am just about to walk her down to the bus stop as I type, and she came up with the idea, of figureing out how many single items, therefore figures and vehicles I have, and dividing the price - $1000 by the number of pruducts, and taking the mean price, and telling him how much I would like as a refund!:)

Just walking her down now be right back!:D

What you want & what you get could be two different things
You got to ask your self why it took so long to send the soldiers in the first place

Well put; come on John, you being the savy Ebay buyer that you are; if you got this pile of junk thrown in front of you for a grand, you'd be screaming bloody murder........

Perhaps I am confused by Scotts description below:

Also I am going to keep AN012- Street Fighting, this set was in mint condition, AN014C - Lt Brian Horocks with Map, pretty good condition as far as I could see, little sheet on back of boars had a small line of paint chippedoff on it, and in one corner also!
And AN015 Bren Gun carrier - this set was in absolute Mint condition!
The only bad thing is that the figure lying down from AN013 - The Defendersis in absolute Mint Condition, and so is the little rifle that goes with it!
I may never get another Mint figure for this set like this!
I guess at this

...........................................................................................

At this point it would probably be best if Scott posted pictures of the sets

in question for everyone to make a fair assesment of the situation.

I am not taking any side in this matter, simply attempting to access fair value

on the items in question, reguardless of who the buyer or seller might be.:)

Under normal conditions yes, but to long time forum members with good historical memories, the pictures are probably not necessary. This case is signed, sealed and delivered and would hold up under appeal. Verdict is guilty, even Louis could not write an appeal to save this one.

If nothing else this case proves the importance in maintaining a good reputation.:)

I was quite suprised at the level of hostility displayed towards the "unknown" seller and knowing values simply expressed my views.:D

I usually don't do much business here on the Forum. So I'm not really up on
any "issues" between buyers and sellers.

I was quite suprised when I heard the opinions of several members I respect
on this matter.

Lets hope this situation is quickly resolved......and the seller in question has
his eyes checked.

Perhaps a "Good Pair of Glasses" is all that stands between him, and an accurate description of items he is selling.:D

Rught guys, I shall take pictures for those of youhwho would like to see the damage!:)

I have pics of the Broken Gunner, however they need to be resixed, and I was wondering if someone on the forum could do this for me?:)

Thanks

These show set AN13, pictures are not as sharp as AN16 image, but you can

clearly see where machine gun has broken off mount.

This brings to mind the importance of good quality packaging! Sometimes

we forget how delicate our figures, and vehicles can be. Case in point would

be a very interesting Thread posted recently by WadePat.

While the item you are selling may be in "like new" condition if it doesn't

arrive that way.....there is a problem!

When I was young I was a baggage handler for an Airline.....you would not

believe how baggage was handled! I saw people run over American

Tourister bags advertised as crush-proof. I saw Cargo Masters toss bags into

brick walls when 1 to many bags came down the belt. So you never know how

a package is going to be handled.

Personally I don't pack anything I ship out....my wife does it all. She is a

former gift wrapper (to Regional Manager) with a leading retailer and she

really knows her stuff. She bubble wraps, shrink wraps, and carefully

packages everything with to many compliments to mention.

So always carefully pack anything you ship to give it the best possible

chance of arriving in the condition it left in.

The following Gentlemen have done simply outstanding jobs making sure items

I have obtained from them arrived in perfect condition, so buy from them with

confidence!

1. Bill Sager - Terrific!
2. Alexdaker - I don't know how you do it! Items are always perfect!
3. Bill Moore - Beautiful Stuff, Beautifully Packaged.
4. JFalk - I think I'm going to sell the extra popcorn!:D

Thanks for the carefull packing guys!:)
