This is the message I gOT:


3-Arnhem jeeps plus I will Include 2-Waffen Walking wounded Guy's and If you want Maj. gen Uraquhat, Drinking with Coffee Mug looking at Maj.Horrocks Map Board! andy, doesn't show the AIRBORNE Jeep is Very Rare, with Beret Officer holding Sten Mg in Hand sitting in Front of jeep!

Can anyone show any pics of this Airborne Jeep' set?
 
If this is something you go for, have him send you DETAILED pictures from ALL angles of what he tends to send you BEFORE you pull the trigger on this deal.

You certainly know prices as well as I do, so when you consider the items Scott is saying were received in Mint condition......how could anyone be really upset and looking for a refund?

If you give someone a $20 bill for a copy of Toy Soldier....and receive a $50 bill in your change........do you complain because its wrinkled?:D

I think Scott certainly got a nice deal, and if he can get an adjustment for the damaged pieces, or a refund for the damaged set........it would appear to be a very nice deal.

I don't think we should be taken in by the $1000 price tag, while it is a lot of money lets not forget the AN16 has gone over $700 at least twice, and the
AN15 has gone over $600 twice.......we still have 2 additional sets + Gen H
& Map which itself has brought over $200.:)

The Prices you quote were from complete mint boxed sets which is far different from the description here. However, that said, the buyer agreed to the sale also! My opinion on value here is not good as the broken, incomplete stuff to me (my opinion again) is worthless.

So now he wants to sell you 3 jeeps and throw in for free 2 waffen SS walking wounded and General "Uraquhat"?

Proceed with caution and as others have pointed out, you had better get pictures AND tell him you want the parcel insured to the full selling price.

You know, I was going to ask if you didn't mind to let us know who the seller was; after reading his reply and seeing the Kings English get murdered 7 ways to Sunday and all the spelling errors, the mystery is over as to who the seller is (and it does not surprize me either by the way).

Amazing.

If your going to take it up with paypal you better do it soon as you only get 45 days to put a claim in & if your not careful your end up running out of time & he may be playing on that ;)

You are not getting anywhere with this is mint and that is not.

The fact of the matter is you one unhappy buyer.

Just grab the bull by the horns.

File a dispute with Paypal.

Throw the ball back into his court.

Well put; come on John,you being the savy Ebay buyer that you are; if you got this pile of junk thrown in front of you for a grand, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

The fact that the prices are low in your opinion does not make up for the fact that the items arrived like they were dropped in a hay bailer.

Plus the fact that were are talking about a young collector here, which makes matters worse, nothing lower IMO than taking advantage of a young kid, especially someone who is so enthusiastic of a collector.................

Had an idea all along as to who the seller was, this just wrapped it nicely with a bow on top.

And based on my prior "experiences", it fits like a glove.

Yes, isn't that a wonderful system they have in place; you have a whopping 45 days to file a dispute. Figure the transaction goes down and the guy drags his feet for a week until he ships it, then it comes across the pond on a rowboat and takes another two weeks, then you get the stuff and try to resolve it between you and the seller for another week or so and WHAM, you are up against it.


Yep, great system.
