Ashes Series 2010 (1 Viewer)

ALL OUT for 186

81 run lead...... :)

Now I can go home from work, and wave at the WACA, we have the radio on all day.

Time for a cold beer...

BUT, Aussies will now go into the field, after a full day, so lest just see how much bounce is there for the English Bowlers.

Michell Johnson is the toast of Australia :) :)

A country that gave the world Sir Don Bradman and Shane Warne to name but a few is not going to give up and die. The ASHES are alive as a series again thanks to Johnson

No mate i wish i was,ive been there for two GF,s the Eagles in 92 and 94 yeah great venue i want to go next year.
No comments on here this week very quite i think there all snowed in..............:D

WOW! Well played England!:cool::cool: .Was a great achievement bowling Australia out for just 98 runs, and then to pile on 513 was just superb. Its looked like the pressure has got to Ponting during this series because not only has his batting not been up to scatch but his temperament has suffered too. Must say a big up to the barmy army who went to Aus to support the lads, very vocal today!.Heres hoping:)

Rob, there's no hoping necessary! :D

Btw, I think Wayne has already sent your figure off to you...;)

Without jumping the gun Do you know what figure you will be getting Rob??

Mitch

Mitch, to be fair the bet was a figure to whoever won the ashes, so if the series is drawn i wouldn't expect Wayne to send me a figure. You know even though we are in the best position we could be in ,superstition and fear of talking too soon prevent me from jumping the gun, I just know if I said we are going to win it will pour with rain in Australia and it'll be a draw!!!

Just been watching the interviews with the players on Sky sports those poor aussies looked shell shocked I don't even think the weather may help them but, I understand your reservations. We have played some stunning cricket though

We really have Mitch, bowling them out for 98 was amazing and then Trott's innings was superb, so good to see such aggressive Cricket from England.

Seems like England have it in the bag. It will be interesting to see what happens in Sydney.

Congratulations England on winning this test....

Bring it on in Sydney, when the battle resumes..... :)

Thanks John, very sporting of you mate.

WELL DONE ENGLAND!! Fantastic that the Urn is staying in England, Australia are a very good team, so to go down there and retain the Ashes is a great achievement , enjoy the celebrations guys!

Rob

I saw in the Aus papers that Ponting was very gracious in defeat, he said in the Sydney Herald:

"They've played some very very good test match Cricket. You don't turn up in Australia and beat an Australian team as easily as they have without being well played and well prepared.

It was a tough pitch but it probably wasn't a 98 all out wicket. Then they showed us how to bat in test match Cricket, and to post that sort of total it was always going to be hard for us to fight our way back into the game and we havn't been able to do it"

Sporting of him I thought

Rob

644
