Way to funny, The Heineken almost spilled on that one . Asbestos gloves:eek:
Great detective work, Holmes!

Why thank you Mr Fanatic. I love finding out about these skeletons in the cupboard in my other half's family history. It gives me ammunition when we're arguing about the degree of "badness" the UK has demonstrated towards China in the past.
:p:p
Being serious for half a second. The twice we've gone to Hong Kong together have been a real eye-opener for her. Especially this latest occasion a few weeks ago. For the first time ever, she met a couple of born-and-bred Cantonese Hong Kongers during social events and I do believe that due to the various conversations, she realises now that what the Mainland population was fed by their own media during the 1997 handover wasn't QUITE the entire truth. And at last she recognises why I've been bursting out laughing anytime she spouts the ridiculous notion that HK is now "same-same" as China - its completely unlike any other city that I've been to in Mainland China - that's why its an SAR of course.
Will things change over time? I've no idea - hope not though.

Same goes for visitors to Heid Hovel Reb.
According to Madame, the younger relations reckon the collection of "stuff" is "cool".
The older relations visit us carrying pocket abbacus's (abbacusi..??).
Whereas her girlfriends reckon she's been involved for years with somone who has a somewhat strange - but "interesting" hobby. Actually, I'm certain we're the sole topic of conversation when her girlfriends get together for a gossip in our absence.
Make of that what you will.
;);) :p:p......:eek::eek:

More coming up in the EoI section soon.

Very nice touch to your photos Harry and they're just as enjoyable to view the second time as they were the first time around....The Lt.

Took these snaps tonight in the darkest room in Heid hovel using a powerful external flash - so they're not good.
I read somewhere else that this range might see new additions.
True? I dunno
False? I dunno

What I do know is I need to buy around 6 more cavalry figures and maybe 4 more foot figures before they disappear off to the great retirement home in the sky; and the sooner, the better.

Cheers

Hmmm....not good, so I tried a Sepia effect which turned out a bit better.

Then went for full blown B&W, which I reckon makes them acceptable;

I do like those Imp Cavalry – and must remember to get my hands on some more before they go down the “Retired Road”.
Only noticed after I looked at the photos that I need to fix the plume on one of the figures and there’s a lance with paint chips needs sorted out. Both easy enough tasks though.

Enjoy
