For those of you that care, John Jenkins Designs has just announced WW1 aircraft (see JJD, listed by Sierra, thank you) in a new series that is to include personel as well. Their first issue is to be Roy Brown's Camel, in correct colors. Sure have to say that JJD is sure making the hobby interesting with their new series from the Spanish Civil War and now the Great War. Thank you JJD! -- Al

Lancer....

Amazing model just had a right good look. It will be one that I will be buying. Lots on here believed it would not be possible to do these in 1/30th. Now we need the Baron or some of the flying circus and, we have a great WWI dogfight.
Cheers to JJ for showing the way

Hi Mitch. It looks like JJD has done it right. I wasn't convinced that WW1 could be done correctly in 1/30 either, mainly because of the polystone weight and the bracing wires. I am assuming the JJD Camel is polystone. The Red Baron's Tripe is given, I would think. Just hope they do the craft, 425/17, in the correct colors and markings. Just think of all that lies in the future, Spads, SE-5's, Albatri and Fokkers of all marks. It is going to be fun. -- Al

This is truly a niche that needed to be filled, I don't collect this period but I truly admire the model. congratulations!

Brilliant

It looks great.

I have to wonder what it's made of. I can't believe the wings are polystone?

Lancer....

I think you are right the possibilities are endless and as the pics show can be done really well. I will have one of these as I really like WWI aircraft. Must admit was not all that interested in JJ stuff not my era etc but, these are excellent and add this too the Civil war stuff its a great move from him.

This will be my very first JJ Purchase, looks fantastic, finally we have the most iconic fighter of WW1 and the plane that helped do for the Red Baron, I hope JJ does some more figures to go with this excellent release.

Its a toss up to what the first JJ I will get the Panzer I or this cracking aircraft. Whatever comes first will be mine. Without detracting from his work it was never my historical interest. But.. Now it is and, what a start!!!

I want the little Panzer I also, but, I will pursue that Camel first, and any other WW1 aircraft JJD makes. My favorite, all time, subject.:D -- Al
