Maj General John Reynolds urges forward the 2nd Wisconsin to counter the advance of Archer's Tennessee Brigade on McPherson's Ridge, July 1st, 1863, the first day of the battle of Gettysburg. The regiment advances at the double quick, loading rifles as they advance, which causes some straggling.

The advance continues thru Herbst Woods until a heavy volley, delivered at 50 yds, by the 14th Tenn staggers the Wisc line and Reynolds falls with a mortal wound. The Wisc line suffers upwards of 30% casualties from this fire.

Both Regiments exchange deadly fire until the rest of the Iron Brigade rolls up the Confedrate right flank, forcing the Tenn Regts to fall back.

Lovely work. Congrats, Chris! Colman

Great set up and photography of your collection! I see you have picked up several new figures since my visit.
I have had my head buried here sculpting new figures for W. Britain and doing some ACW conversions for the Wisconsin Veteran's museum event. (Mike yours too)
We will have a nice diorama of Millers Cornfield to set the new Iron Brigade figures up for the event, hopefully I can get some pictures before it goes out the door. If I ever get caught up I will have to do one for me too... like I will ever get caught up.

Thanks again for sharing these great pictures!
All the best,
Ken

Any hints at what we can expect for the ACW line???????? ^&grin

There will be a fairly broad offering for ACW over the next few catalogs. As mentioned in another post there are Fredericksburg figures coming in with the mix, although I can't say too much more at the moment.
I have been pretty busy to the point where I have been primarily sculpting ACW and AWI with a few new Classic Gloss and AZW hand to hand sets thrown in.

More to follow in the upcoming months!

Ken, I am looking forward to seeing you and Ericka at Chicago and hopefully picking up the conversions you have been working on for me. Chris, Ken has been working on some Union figures in frock coats and converting them for me into Iron Brigade soldiers.
