Ok, to start I have a ViviCam 6326 digital camera which I received as a service anniversary gift from my employer
. Its a very basic relitively inexpensive camera. I have it programed so the image size is 1600x1200 - I use this image size because it works better with Photo Bucket. Currently I take all my pictures with the camera set on Automatic, no flash, with Macro. The only lighting I use is a 60W overhead basement ceiling light, and two desk lamps with bendable necks, each with a 75W bulb. I bought these lamps for about $10 each at Target. I do not use a tri-pod - I either place the camera on a solid surface in fromt of my subject or I just hold it as steady as I can. My basement "studio" is just an 8' X 4' table I made myself. At one end, I have my WB Hougoumont collection and at the other end my WB Zulu collection. In the middle I have my so called studio
. Nothing fancy and certainly nothing high-tech or scientific. It actually takes much more time to set everything up to take the picture (my play time) than it takes to actually take the picture. Here are some pics of my area (taken with my camera in auto mode, auto foucus, auto flash) just so you can see how "low-tech" my area is

Middle area with "photog studio" - notice the card board box stages and the two lamps on either side
The entire table view - what a mess
