Howard reports that " The huge dio has three new sets in it. The LCT, the two guys with light flash unit and the single guy beside the sandbag mounted MG. the Truck, the Crane and most everything else are props"

The Airfield shed cover posted earlier is a new set by Build-a-Rama.

Latest pics just posted are K&C , Britains and Frontlines.

My own comment is look how the K&C dio covers the bed.

This Frontline Figures range first appeared at OTSN Chicago in 1995 or thereabouts.

The 93rd Highlanders (Argyll and Sutherland) of the Thin Red Line at Balaclava 1854.

The landing craft look good,so am I right in thinking there are two new ones and two figure sets?.Also the Sherman with stacks,is that an existing Sherman thats had stacks added or a whole new release?.Thanks again guys and a big conratulations to Andy and Gordon,brilliant scene.

Nice one guys. Thanks for taking the time to get the pics up. So that looks like possibly 2 new tubs, and several new GI sets. The stacks on the Sherman look like props added to the existing 'classic' Sherman, as they've not been colour matched in, but it'd be interesting to see if they come out with this as a set. More expense!

The West Coaster Show today was magnificent. I had to
pinch myself to see that I was not in Heaven. If email a bit messy please excuse, have just returned from West Coaster break up party. Far too many beers. MIND foggy heard too much to remember. As I said edited by me but one gets the feeling he is having a good time. Please note that although claims been drinking and head spinning his writing was not "slurred" at all.

He is on the trip with his daughter so she must be having fun !!!

So we can expect some more pics from the West Coast and then I think Monday USA time he is off to San Antonio and I have given him some specific photo requests from there.

Thank you very much for posting all of the pictures. There are some very nice dioramas. Do you have any information on that tall French fortress, with cannons and French soldiers, etc.? Is it a piece that is availlable from a manufacturer, or is it a single, custom made piece for that one very impressive diorama?

I know from Joan at Kings X and from a quick phone call from him that Howard has been to San Antonio and visited Kings X.
However we seem to be having difficulty getting his images through to me.
Not sure if problem is with my server but have given him another email to use. I know he he has more images coming and will post as soon as I can.

Hi Guys,
Just had a call from Howard's wife and she also said Howard having problems with internet access in SA and NY.
Howard and daughter having a great time and enjoyed SA. He has just attended a dinner (with Louss and company I expect) and his daughter went to watch people playing with sticks on the ice in Madison Square Garden.
I think we will have to weit for his return for a full report but if any other Treefroggers see him please feel free to add any sightings.
The last part of his trip is to the beach in Hawaii.

I believe Howard went to see the dealer today in West Point as Andy was visiting up there. I'll tell Howard to still use you as his regular dealer instead of Tony

I can give a brief update. Finally met Howard in person, a truly great guy! Louis, Howard and I went to West Point today and met Andy, Helen and Patrick at Tony's Toy Soldier Gallery. One sentence, truly lovely people all around. Yes we bought out Tony's cases of some hidden goodies! We all did well and enjoyed the hospitality thoroughly. Fortunately my good friend Steven Chong is on the West Coast as we actually found some goodies he didn't get first!!!!!!! (Steven, just kidding of course, can't wait to see you in Chicago sorry you are not in NYC!).

A fine dinner was had at Larrys in the company of Hans, Clive, Louis and Howard. Larry introduced Howard to Tsing Tao (I always screw up the spelling, but truly remember the taste!!!!!!) and it tasted quite fine as I remember along with wonderful shrimp szechuan style, Peking Duck, Beef and some Rum Raisin Ice Cream to finish the feast, we had a good time! Side note, I am trying to gain back my 17.5 lbs lost as fast as I can huh?

Anyhow, great day, great folks, the fun continues tomorrow!

Thanks for the update. Seems like he is having a terrible time !
Being located next to West Point sounds like a good location.
No seriously, can you guys stop making it all so much fun for him otherwise he will never want to come back Down Under !!!.
A minor correction regarding Tsing Tao. That is what we drank when Howard and I had dinner with Andy and Helen at a Chinese Restaurant in July.
However I can see I am going to have serious problems coming up with ideas for Andy and Helen's next visit to Australai as Howard will have been spoilt by you guys. However I guess I should not be worried as OzDigger (yes he is still around), Simmo and possibly Wayne will be here (on second thoughts I am worried !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
I think Howard is going to need a holiday to recover from the trip.

Truthfully meeting Howard and hanging with him was a true highlight of the weekend. What a gem of a guy. We had a blast and I hope he and the rest of you Aussies make Chicago!
