Australia Gold fever (1 Viewer)

Interesting Steve. For the time being I am concentrating on the Australian Gold fields, so no Indians, but bush rangers or troopers could be a threat to the miners. 😀. Robin.

Figure swinging the pickaxe certainly looks keen to strike Gold and God help anyone who crosses him !

Your Australian Gold Rush is really coming together nicely Robin. When the field plays out they can then cry out "On to Alaska!"

Excellent display Robin, although very tempting I haven't ventured into that era yet. If there were more conflict based sets such as depicted in your photos I would be more inclined to buy as I tend to prefer battle action displays.

I would ask the Toy Soldier manufactures 'What about more conflict sets' e.g. based on the Eureka Rebellion/Stockade, I'm sure there were similar conflicts in other countries: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_Rebellion

Or at least I hope to see some sets based on robbers/outlaws etc attempting to steal the gold.

Wow Robin just came across this fantastic diorama. Love how it started with just a few figures and what it's like now 👌. You certainly have a wide range of interests and figures from different manufacturers. Keep up the great work 👍. Paul

What about some 'Indigenous Natives', there are very few TS examples available, but maybe could convert Indians etc to the 'cause', they also rode horses, and had a similar camp life to Indians

Perhaps Australian Aboriginals are a possible theme for new range for a major TS manufacturer to produce, they didn't change their appearance much over the years so any figure could represent a wide time period, say from pre 'discovery' by Captain Cook to around 1950's.

You've been telling your own story of the Gold Rush with you dios, with more and more people arriving, including the wrong un's !
Well done Robin 👏🏻
