G’day Mates,

Here’s a little visual update on the progress of our first Australian Light Horse troopers…I reckon they’re not too bad even if I do say so myself!!!

So, sit down, crack open a tube of Fosters and throw another shrimp on the Barbie!

Best wishes from the farthest outback of Hong Kong.
Andy C.

Awesome Andy awesome youve done our lighthorse proud, cant wait to buy them thanks cobber.Yuck Aussies dont drink fosters thats why we export it...............:D

Hi
They look great - I will be spending - and when I've bought them all will there be more ?????? ;)

Very nice, add a couple of buildings, a well and some soon to be released palm trees and some Turks and will have a great Beersheba diorama.
This is going to be a great series.
Hard to pick a favourite but it will have to be the classic pose with bayonet poiting forwards. For those not familiar with the Light Horse at Beersheba it should be noted they were mounted infantry and not regarded as cavalry
which is why they used bayonets.
The charge was made to secure the wells
Regards
Brett

Andy,

after seeing the master in Sydney, I knew that these would be great, but that painting has really brought out the sculptors art.

Please pass on all the comments in the Forum to the crew in HK, and tell them that the troops 'down under are most impressed with them all !

regards,

John

Wow...kudos to Andy & K&C for taking a risk on a rarely touched upon historical battle and on yet another looking great cavalry charge.

Hope to see the Ottomans soon!

Oh no! They look fantastic. I see Chapter 11 on the horizon. -- lancer

Nice too see K&C taking a risk venturing into another series that's not globally "mainstream" and commercial. Earlier this year they released some Canadians so its good to see Australia getting their due. I hope this series does well and congrats to my Aussie cousins, your line looks great. K&C's figures just keep getting better and better. Myself I don't collect WWI however that flagbearer looks to good to pass up, I'll pick it up as a one off for my displays. I didn't realize the Aussie flag was once red, I thought it was blue!

Cheers
CFM

If I were to allow myself to buy just one figure, it would be the one pictured below.

ie: the rifleman with the 18 inch bayonet thrust forward.

I think this figure is iconic for the mounted infantry charge of the 4th Australian Light Horse Brigade at Beersheba on 31 October 1917.

Raymond.:)

i wonder in which month's dispatch are we going to see those Aussies again?

I am watching ANZACS (the Aussie version of Band of Brothers) made in 80's.
