These figures are great. Cavalry is awesome. I hope they keep it up. The quality is awesome.

I really enjoy TG as well, especially how well they mix and display w/ K&C. They compliment each other very well, IMO.

That's why, because they chose to go in that direction, I no longer purchase TGM figures . . .

IXEC,
Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it you who sold quite a few early TG sets at pretty high prices on Ebay.
I think many can also remember your enthusiasm for the TG FW190.

Come on guys the TG stuff is good, and yes it can mix with K&C and let's face it Andy even suggested at Schaumburg 5 years ago during the dinner of trying to work together. Guess that kind of went by the wayside.

Shyguy,
TG did not exist five years ago so I am not sure I understand your comment about K&C working together below.

Anyone who has read your three K&C 262 threads can draw their own conclusions about your thoughts on K&C.

Brett,

I think you have it the wrong way around, I have a great deal of K&C in my collection. More than I know what to do with including limited editions of less than 5 in the run. My complaint if you wish to use the proper words are limited to the ME 262. I am not taking sides in the pro K&C and non K&C war. However Andy did suggest that manufacturers try to work together in integrating the scales for collectors, but there seems to be a new thought process. For the record I have built some custom items using K&C items that ave sold for high dollar amounts and have been poked and prodded by both Andy and Gordon on how I did the conversions. I'll let the dealers I did it for jump in on their own.

Shyguy,
Regarding the scale issue K&C was already in existance when TG started so it is hardly for them to become
compatable with TG. In fact if you Google Thomas Gunn Minitaures the first link that comes up for TG web page says
Thomas Gunn Miniatures - King & Country compatable figures.

Brett

Brett,

I would agree Thomas Gunn did come out in 1/30, but Figarti, Britains, and others were going to have integreated sets and it seems that we are not moving to that direction. Its my feeling and I am not looking for a war with a fellow collector or dealer. There are enough people on that subject already. I wish you the best,

Shyguy,
If the brands were going to have integrated sets what is the point of them having their own unique aspects.
Seems you hold K&C accountable for this not happening to your liking. For that to happen K&C would have to buy up all
the other brands and be the only source of TS.

Since Britains been around the longest perhaps all other brands should have made their figures in the style of
Britains. But then K&C might not have done matt WWII figures and FL brought out their different style vehicles.

You might enjoy my thread about New Toy Soldier Manufacturer Company seeking production manager under the Discussion area.

I have amassed quite a collection of TGM, since they have become a sponsor of Battle Scene Productions. I don't care who they blend with, they are very superior figures and I am extremely pleased with them. Their blending with K&C is irrelevant to me. Although in various scenes of The Great Crusade we used them with K&C, TCS, Old Britains and Figarti. Alex

Such a discussion and all that Bla, Bla Bla , for what ?????
If a TS has the right scale and if it appeals through pose, painting, overall quality, etc.. if it catches my attention, I buy. It is of no importance to me if it is a K&C, a TGM, a CS, a Figarti or any other brand. It is as simple as that !!!!
I am now working on a dio in which at least two and maybe three different TS producers will recognize some figurines they have produced
guy:smile2:

Look forward to the dio

Very well said-it's a simple concept, "if you like it, buy it, if you don't, save your money for something you do like".

Does Thomas Gunn produce great figures? No doubt! Does K&C produce great figures? No doubt! Do I buy everything they produce in WWII? No way! Why? Simply as said bellow: I just buy what I like, be it K&C, Thomas GUnn, Figarti, etc... IMHO they all have their highs and their lows, surpassing each other here and there, but none is 100% all the time; so stick to what you feel are highs, and just pass the lows...and happy collecting, because this is what this is all about!{sm4}
