My sister just returned from Hong Kong visiting her daughter. The virus has changed, at least temporarily, the way people shop and live. Malls, restaurants and other public sites are deserted; people are going to lengths to keep themselves and where they live virus free. Undoubtedly, the virus is affecting production of all products and the economy. Even here, where we have a robust public health infrastructure, people are taking precautions. In our area, you can’t find surgical masks although in some articles I’ve read health professionals say that washing your hands thoroughly are a better better protection against the virus than masks.
