I'm really hoping we're going to see some new FL release updates soon...

A gate for the medieval walls and towers would be nice; also a keep to complete the set in grand style worthy of FL.

A Nashorn or Hummel would be nice. FL has not yet done any SP artillery.

Agreed on both points. I've held off on the FL castle pieces since no gate was available-I use JG's pieces instead for now.
Would take a Wespe too as an option.

A good assessment. The Corona Virus will probably delay Chinese manufactured products for some time.

This is America and he is saving for the education of his numerous children und for the AC bill in summer. ^&grin

i assume he is also trying to figure out what the coronavirus does to his manufacturing and supply chain.

My sister just returned from Hong Kong visiting her daughter. The virus has changed, at least temporarily, the way people shop and live. Malls, restaurants and other public sites are deserted; people are going to lengths to keep themselves and where they live virus free. Undoubtedly, the virus is affecting production of all products and the economy. Even here, where we have a robust public health infrastructure, people are taking precautions. In our area, you can’t find surgical masks although in some articles I’ve read health professionals say that washing your hands thoroughly are a better better protection against the virus than masks.

Thanks for the information. Amazon has masks. Effective masks can be made from paper towels and rubber bands. A very effective reusable mask can be made using a full face snorkel mask. Cover the air inlet with 4ply paper towel or gauze 4X4 filter. Fully washable and is available on Amazon for about $25.00.

Hand washing is effective; but transmission by aerosol or droplets requires eye protection as well as a mask. Cheap Russian gas masks are available for $20.00 on Amazon. 3M masks are available too; but they are expensive.

It will probably take a year for supply chains to recover, assuming the virus dies off by summer. Vaccinations should be available by summer.

Brilliant, paper towels and elastic bands, that's really funny and absurd 😂😂😂😂😂

Not absurd! A Hong Kong video is showing how to make them. When desperate you get innovative or you die. Choose wisely.

Like I said absurd, if you use paper towels as protection against a virus such as this then you will definitely run a higher risk of infection. Think about it!

Please read the article in the South China Morning Post about making masks that are 90% as effective as surgical masks. The improvised masks were tested by the City University. SCMP.Com full instructions are provided.

I reckon I can wait a bit for new updates... I was going into the Shanghai region quarterly until late last year & some of my colleagues got out just before the flights were shutting down, so I'm crossing my fingers for all the folks over there that I'd worked with and their families...it's an eerie time.

Very curious to see what will be next up from First Legion.

I'm personally hoping it will be something like one of the many pictures I posted on the Franco-Prussian War thread.

Putting aside the current virus debacle FL seems to have lost its way a little.
Personally I prefer that a maker release both adversaries for a campaign or battle
in a reasonable time frame. I thought that FL did a good job of this with Napoleonics,
Renaissance,WWII and some other ranges. Agincourt took a long time for French Knights
and now the Franco-Prussian War seems frustrating to those waiting for the Prussians.
Not to take away any credit for their quality and subject matter but I think releasing
both sides within a few months of each other makes a lot of sense. For example I was
interested in the FP conflict but did not want to buy the French until I saw the Prussian
release.
Anyway just my opinion.
