Bailing Out (1 Viewer)

Amazing shot, Frank. Thank you for sharing your work. The combo of HB and your skills are deadly.......in a good way, of course!:p

Brilliant work again, Frank. You must have quite a collection. Certainly a benefit from being able to focus on one period.

I also wonder what Ken will be doing to his HB Panther ...

I just picked up Honour Bound's Panzer Crew On the Run set # HB50, and I'm very happy with it. The poses are great as are the paint jobs. I thought I'd add a few close of pics of the figures to Frank's bailing out thread. Maybe these pics will help anyone who is considering buying this set decide which way to go. It is my understanding that HB has reduced their production runs from 70 sets to a total of 50 sets for all of their latest releases. I'm glad I picked this one up while it's still available. Unfortunately, the tank commander's luger arrived seriously bent. I was able to "acceptably" straighten it out without breaking it, but it felt to be weakened in the process. Nonetheless, another fine, creative release from HB. I'm really enjoying their figures and hope that someday they begin producing AFV's again.

Hi Joe

Many thanks for the upclose pics. I am a big fan of HB. I have a few of their desert sets and I really like the look and colouring of them. If the bent pistol is of concern to you send Ana @ HB an email. She stands behind her product 110% and will make sure you are happy with your figures. I recently had a few figures with similiar bent guns and associated paint loss. She provided replacements no questions asked.

regards

Joe,

Again mate, excellent photos, thanks for posting. I picked up this set from our hosts a couple of months back, my first HB purchase, bar a retired Sherman. A really versatile set that suits a multitude of dio’s & like you I am really pleased with it. Cheers,

Alby

The best pose is the tanker carrying his comrade but, then the MP40 firing tanker is good. No, there all just brilliant IMO. Just great sets

Hi Stephen, Thanks! I'm really liking HB more and more. Their latest desert sets are among their best looking ones, IMO. I don't collect that theater, but if I did, I'd be all over those. Great poses and paint jobs. Their figures are just very realistic to me in every way. I don't have a lot of HB, but the few sets I have I really enjoy. When you pop open the box on a new set, there is a big WOW factor. At least that's how it is for me! Sounds like the same thing for you too. Enjoy 'em! Joe

Mitch- It was at this exact point in my decision making process that I just knew I had pick up this set:). HB is just doing a fine job, and I look forward to future additions.

Hi Alby,

Thanks! Glad to hear you picked up this set too. I only have two other HB sets (and one of those is a partial set [3 out of 4 figures of US tank riders]). I don't have any HB AFV's, but would love to get one (or two or three:p) one of these days. I've tried ebay a few times, but they are tough to win. Their AFV's more than hold their value, to say the least. I bet you're enjoying that Sherman! Good catch there, my friend. My favorite of my few HB sets is HB46, the German Winter Engineers. This one is a stunner. The seated machine gunner's weapon is real unique. I haven't seen one like this in any other toy soldier set. I definitely see more HB in the cards for me. But for now I'm going to curtail all spending until we see what comes of the annual Sept. landslide in Chicago!

Joe,

Thanks for advice re HB46, just the other day I was trawling through TF Treasures and noticed these guys were back in stock. Might be a prudent time to pick them up. Alby
