How can this get better? 162 regular season games, the multi-level playoffs, and the whole shebang comes down to the last 6 innings of Game 7. Party on. -- Al

First the Cubs knock out their nemesis, Kluber, and now they score against super-relief-man Miller. Me thinks it is going to be a happy night in Chicago. Maybe. -- Al

I don't get bringing Lester in. Hendricks had thrown only 65 pitches and had looked good.

Maddon has cost the Cubs the title. Unbelievable. He has no feel for this game whatsoever. Chapman has zilch tonight and he had no backup plan.

It's mind boggling. Both Hendricks and Lester were pitching well and at the first sign of trouble he pulls them.

Chapman has lost mileage off his fastball.

Cubs fans acting like losing is a foregone conclusion.
 
You gotta be kidding me. Midnight on the east coast and they're going to delay the game? What are they going to do if it rains the rest of the night? The weather people predicted this weather, so why didn't MLB start the game earlier, like they did the other night? Idiots. -- Al
 
Just great. Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow. If the Mets were in it, obviously I'd stay up but they're not!
 
A comedy of errors. Really poor use of pitchers by Chicago starting with using Chapman last night when it wasn't necessary so he has little left for game 7. And tonight pulling pitchers too early. Now it's extra innings with a rain delay meaning they will have to use new pitchers. Who is left in the bullpens?

I don't get the Rizzo move unless they wanted to have the double play in order.
 
The game that refuses to end. I like Montgomery. We'll see if he can seal the deal.
 
Wasn't Maddon's finest night, but it sure is the Cubs finest moment. Terrific Game 7, everything it should have been. Congratulations to the Cubs (and whoever thought they would say that?). Cleveland had it's chances, went to sleep in Game 6 and didn't wake up until the 8th inning of Game 7. Wrong time to slumber but they made it close. Now, when does spring training start?:wink2:^&grin -- Al
