Chapman got suspended 30 games. The Yankees got lucky. They traded a bag of balls for the guy, because they thought he might be suspended an entire season, and they are going to have him for the last 132 games plus the playoffs, if they make it there. I thought Joe Torre, with his "Safe at Home" foundation against domestic violence, was going to make sure they dropped the hammer on this guy. He got off lucky, as did the Yankees brass who traded for him.

True, he got off lucky. Sometimes you have to take a gamble. I wonder how many GMs are getting nasty calls from their owner.

The Yankees still have a great back of the pen duo.

Good for them, that franchise never catches any breaks, nice to see them finally catch one.

As a sign of support, a number of MFY fans who sit out in the bleachers are going to wear white wife beater tank tops, MFY hats with the strait brim and the sticker underneath it, blue jeans and old school Addidas sneakers all year long.

Oh wait; they dress like that anyway?

Nevermind.

Actually it's a trio, throw Miller in there too.

Basically, it's back to the future now, aka, the mid to late 1990's for the MFY's..............if you can't build a lead vs them by the 6th inning, forget it, they've got three lights out guys for the 7th, 8th and 9th inning now.

The only problem for the MFY's is Chapman will be on the field by May 7th, 11 full days prior to the deadline of the 18th to qualify for a season of eligibility, so they only control him for one year, not two...............unless that weasel Cashman comes up with some BS injury to keep him off the field until the 19th, time will tell.................it would be a real cheap move, but we'll see how it shakes out.
