Hearing the shooting, a panther followed up the STuH's assault, but it was brought to a shuddering halt by a well placed 6 pdr anti-tank gun shooting into it's flank, causing the engine to stall.
The panther slewed to an uneven halt and the the crew baled out............meanwhile, the supporting infantry laid down a withering surpressive fire, forcing the 6 pdr to hook up and pull out to a new position.
This completed, the crew of the panther set about checking the tracks and seeing if the engine would start again.
