Every Christmas I pick up a few Zulus or Brits for my dad's collection. This year we figured we get in a little play time. While it might not be as grand as some, it was a grand time.

They often say 'less is more' and this layout looks like lots of fun. Some older pieces here, so you have been collecting for awhile. Bet you look forward to Christmas each year, it seems this has become a tradition for you to share some special moments. Good on you and thank you for sharing, hope I am here next year to see more^&cool, Robin.

Being with your father enjoying the time together is what it's all about.Enjoy every minute of it.

That's a great tradition! Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year,
Brendan

This is what toy collecting is all about .... but keep an eye out on your flanks as the Zulus look to be making a run on the store house lol

Absolute knock-out to see that the age old tradition of Dad & Son constructing battles with toy soldiers on a table top is still alive and well in Alabama. Long may it continue.:salute::

I agree, well done on your easy layout! The simple addition of a grass matt will also work wonders (it doesn't have to be expensive- just an ordinary model railway matt) Good Luck
