The guys in the background are Zulu allies, German FG (from TGunn?), calling in a Stuka strike on the British positions. -- Al

We send a recon flight over the area, and here is what we came up with. Looks like Lancer was right.!!!!!!!!!

BLOODY TARAWA Figarti Style.......

NOTE.. When we were researching this project we came across a video of this Sherman Tank ( Colorado written on the side ) in this exact position. The Tank Commander got out, and came to the seawall. It appeared as though the tank may have bogged down in the sand, and was under heavy fire.

Also the Amtracks in the rear were customized by Nick and are not Figarti

Another excellent shot.....the beachwater wave line is very well done.

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Alex and Nick...you got so many things just right in that shot I don't know where to start. The water, the flotsam, the barely visible palm trees in the distance, the swell of the wave coming in, the color of the explosions. And you provided a setting in which the Figarti figures look really good. REALLY GOOD! (I will resist...I will resist...)

Joe, as we said the other day in our conversation, out of 100 pictures one has to come out right !!!....Thanks...Now we have to incorporate real fire and smoke like you do !!!..Alex

Here is a broadside shot of "COLORADO" a bit before she got bogged down in the sand.

We just put a bunch more Figarti Tarawa shots in the Figarti Gallery, on our Web Site. Now back to the Western Front. We have to finish up that Collectors Showcase scene we previewed a few days ago. Then Back to Figarti Tarawa again (New Scene). Alex

We love how Joe gets a Day of Play....so we did this shot just for us....

After retiring on February 1st from the Fire Department. I thought it would give me more time to play. But there with a new wife and a new house, there still was a lot of work to do ...But things are loosening up a bit now...We have a huge amount of projects on the way...Alex

Good shot Alex, who made the water?

Nick and I collaborate on just about everything. Nick for the most part does the structures, and I usually plan the scene, and do the scenery. I had become obsessed with water lately, so I am mostly responsible for it. But Nick added a touch here and there. We were happy with the result, but we are still working on it. I also have a new camera I am struggling with a but. Alex

I also love scenery. In fact I think I love it more than the soldiers.I am a complete amatuer but if I ever get the spare time I'm going to do my own scenic base.
Mark
