Here is my interpretation of this famous picture taken on the 6th June 1944 in Baudienville/ Normandy, 2,5km from Sainte Mère Eglise. Soldiers belonging to the 4th Intantry Division coming from Utah Beach are having a rest before pushing further into Normandy. My scene is set a minute or so before that famous picture was taken. Not all soldiers are already in the correct position . Nevertheless I hope you will enjoy. (PS: I had to change all the sleeve insignia and had to repaint a lot of trousers in chocolate brown)

Spectacular! I don't know how, but your dioramas just get better and better!

Again a super diorama, with a great story................Also the pictures are good quality.:salute::

Wow! Right up there with Kevin's photography, and that is my ultimate compliment when it comes to toy soldier photography! And the diorama itself is a work of art!!

The hours that must have gone into this to get this type of detail, amazing. Quality workmanship to say the least. Well done Guy. Robin.

Excellent work Guy, the cafe is spot on to the historical photo and the scene is very close as well.

Hi Guy,

You did a fantastic job in creating a historically accurate scene. I'm loving your Cafe Philippe. With the ground cover and additional foliage, it really comes to life. Excellent figures as well!

This cafe is open for business. Is this yours Guy or a commission work? It would be very hard to part with. Robin.
