When I saw that "rev.pete" (husband to Shannon Reuss) was selling the K&C set# SP15 (damaged Reich Chancellery Entrance Way) on eBay I decided to get it as I saw that it was becoming a retired set and I thought that I could make up a small or vignette display representing the Fall of Berlin in very early May 1945. I have placed this display on the shelve just below the circa 1938 display of "Hitler's Berghof" so as to show two displays close together that represent "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich". At first I thought about getting a couple of K&C sets of German troops in combat positions. I then got the idea to have the display show the ultimate end of the Nazi era in Germany & Europe by just showing the greatly damaged Reich Chancellery with a dead German soldier and an elderly woman in shock looking at the dead German soldier which I also got from Tree Frog Treaures. The dead German soldier is K&C set# WS170,"Hitler Junge" or Hitler Youth. The old woman is set# FOB063, "Old Woman by the Road" from K&C's relatively new "Refugees" series of sets. In any case, I think that no one can say I am saying anything positive about the Nazi era in this particular miniature display.
