brian, you should consider putting the overshot of the whole diorama piece, and also inputting the dimensions.

This looks great and the prices are very reasonable. Just to rivet count for a minute - would Von Manstein have briefed Hitler in 1938? I read he was actually demoted in early '38. Also are the uniforms and decorations being worn accurate for 1938? Particularly for Galland. Not trying to rain on the LAH parade - just curious. Again it looks great.

Such a tough one. We went through a myriad of period photos and the range of medals and awards worn and not worn in so many photos was huge. We simply had to make some command decisions on the set.:)

Trust me after past experiences  These bad boys are perfectly scaled to the KC pieces.:D

Cheers!

Brian
How about Lord Chelsford having a staff conference on the evening of 21 Jan 1879 or something like that.
CS are doing some great stuff but you seem to have abandoned the AZW.
Say it ain't so Brian.

It would be interesting to have a companion piece set in 1945 for each of the 1938 releases. Showing the same Berlin buildings and figures in decline. I always thought Hitler's birthday on April 20, 1945 - the last meeting of the major nazi personalities - would make a great set. Or Hitler's meeting with the Hitler Youth outside the bunker.

excellent suggestions:p

Brian, what would you say to a goring, himmler, heydrich in 1/6?

Make a set of Hitler and Eva sitting in their den with all the furniture, on their blood-stained sofa - dead - and I may be interested....this Nazi glorification is repulsive..definitely not my thing but obviously suits other just fine..send in the Marines!

Good, but alot of work.

We think the new Berlin 38 range holds alot of promise and already have the next sets in production.

Best regards,

Brian

Brian - How many 1/6 Goering, Heydrich and Himmlers could you sell and break even or make a profit? how many sets world-wide exclusive sets would you make of these murderers before you attempt any WW2 United States Marine Corps sets?

Kingtoot....

I think its not about Nazi-glorification but, historical accuracy it would be a poorer hobby for everyone should we only have those deemed as 'morally' superior represented in metal et al.

you're being harsh, jimmy carter.

if you want USMC, there are already available pieces from K&C and figarti.

I would also suggest you are more likely to catch more bees with honey than with vinegar.

My take on the whole subject is the rather dark theatre of the whole genre and period. Like it or not it the subject has pomp, villains and grossly exaggerated architecture.

All this combined makes for an eerily appealing genre to do in miniature. It might as well be some Orwellian nightmare, but the kicker is that it did happen.

The period is absolutely fascinating and I'm delighted to have the creative opportunity to evoke such emotion. I look at the subject and I say, hey that's colorful that's moody that would make a great subject. It was really allot of fun to sculpt the personalities, as you could caricaturize them so much.

I’m sorry but I just don't dwell on the crimes as much, perhaps being 43 I'm just too detached to get it as the older generation might. To me it’s just another subject to make art from , whether it’s ACW, Zulu, WWII or Naps.

We're just trying to make great art. Good to get your input though, it needs to be heard!:)

Tally Hooo!

Best regards,

Brian
