Bernard (Cardigan600) R.I.P (1 Viewer)

I did not really know him...But my sincere condolences to his family and friends.... Praying that he may be at rest and peace in the presence of the Lord.... Rev:21-4

A loss to all especially his family. I so enjoyed his banter even when he continully assigned me to stable duty. RIP my friend.

I had forgotten about stable duties. He had me assigned to them once or twice !! :salute::

Very, very sad news indeed. Bernard taught me everything I know about
Charles Stadden. I will miss him. If anyone wants to organized a Treefrog fund for
his wife and son please PM me. PayPal would be best. I owe him a lot.

Does anyone have a link to an Obituary? I thought he was from Longford
County and searched the local newspapers, but could find nothing.

I never new him personally, but I enjoyed reading his posts. Condolences to his family and friends, and may he rest in peace.

Had the pleasure of meeting Bernard once - he was a great character -and spoke several times.

He knew so much about C.Stadden and was a fountain of knowledge.

I enjoyed his posts calling the forum members to order.

RIP Bernard and condolences to Mary and Mark.

It is with greatest sadness that I have to inform my fellow members of the passing of Bernard who died peacefully on the 26th April of this year 2013.

Those of us who knew Bernard will be aware of his passion for hollow cast Britain’s British cavalry regiments and later on Chas Stadden Original Models.

I have had the pleasure of repainting and repairing a number of figures for Bernard over the years and his full of life and down to earth “Scouser” personality really shone through on our many phone conversations. He was my friend and will be sorely missed.

I have spoken to Mary his wife this morning and passed on our collective condolences and sympathies to her and their young son Mark, which was appreciated.

Bernard, may you rest in peace.

Jeff

Jeff,

I just saw this thread, and I am so sorry to hear of Bernard's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him only through this forum, and despite never meeting me, he went out of his way to help me obtain some wonderful Chas Stadden figures for my collection. He was a true gentleman, in every sense of the word, and the word is a poorer place for his passing.

Coming to this information late and like Brad I was wondering why I hadnt heard from him, now I know. I am so sorry to hear of Bernards passing. I had several great "chats" with him about tanks and of course our shared passion for WBritains Cavalry Units. Bernard I hope that you are resting at peace. God Bless.

Hi Guys,

I thought I would send Bernard's wife Mary an email with a link to this thread which would show just how popular Bernard was with his fellow forum members, so if anyone else would like to add to what has already been posted then please do so by the end of the month.

Many thanks.

Jeff
