Thing is Sammy, some folk just can't be happy with their own hobby, they have to dig at others, thats when the trouble starts.

Rolling Stones at Wembley Stadium were also very good.:salute::

For sheer crowd involvement and enthusiasm for the music, nothing topped a CreationFest my wife made me attend.

For the enjoyment of my favorite bands- ozzFest 2006- Maiden and Black Sabbath back to back- Ozzy throws water on me, so very fun.

For just being in awe of seeing an amazing performer- Elton John at Hershey

1992 try-out for madstock in the netherlands madness^&grin

You guys have seen some awesome shows, I need to get out a little more:)...Sammy

Madness are a superb band. Best Rock band for me AC/DC have seen them twice and, a fellow Gerodie.

AC/DC at Wembley arena were superb, although Brian Johnson could never match Bon Scott.

David Bowie and Michael Jackson were both great at the Milton Keynes Bowl.

U2 at Wembley stadium were pretty good although not brilliant.

L.A. Forum early 70's benefit for the Venezualen earthquake victims, Rolling Stones but the opening band stole the show, a new band out of Texas... ZZ Top!!! debut album..Never and I mean Never saw a band rock like that until they came along. The place was buzzing about them, even into the parking lot. I'd never heard of them, It was a great great suprise

For me the best recent arena show was Green Day. I've been to a lot of smaller venue shows where the sound is often far better but I'd be hard pressed to single one out. On pure vocal talent K.D. Lang never fails to impress me.

I'm going to Rush this summer. This was my favorite band growing up in the 80s and I haven't been to one of their concerts in eons.

The Village People, they are so buff. My personal favorite is the leather guy! Y M C A.

Hard to choose just one, I've got a top three list;

3.) Motley Crue at the old Boston Garden
2.) Foo Fighters at MSG
1.) U2 at the Fleet Center, best live band I ever heard

Plenty more (Van Halen, the Clash, AC/DC, Journey, Def Leppard, Poison), but U2 crushed them all..........

B.B. King, in his prime. There's a reason he's the King!

Saw quite a many from the Grateful Dead to Ozzy to all points in between including Elton John!

That said, the best were:

1. Evening with Metallica 1991 - they played for near 4hrs, no opener
2. Ozzy - hard to pick one out of the 20 shows I saw, but seeing the Black Sabbath reunion was pretty intersting being it was all 4 original members on stage!
3. Judas Priest - Painkiller Tour - a harley davidson onstage, women with micro mini skirts on, being 18 years old, what more could you ask for????
4. AC/DC - Razors Edge - huge success, huge tour, awesome show.
5. Grateful Dead 1995 - 14 days before Jerry passes on at RFK.
6. Metallica, Guns & Roses and Faith No More - opening night of tour RFK Stadium
7. First Ozfest featuring Danzig, Ozzy and Rob Zombie - real cool!

I liked nearly every concert I ever saw, all memorable in one way or another! Probably clocked in 20 plus Dead shows, 20 plus Ozzy incarnations, even saw Sha Na Na and Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Jimmy Buffet, etc.

ironically for me, the worst show I ever saw was the Moody Blues. I took my dad to see them in DC a couple years ago and man alive- it was awful!! Waaay tooo much of the poppish 80's nonsense- I enjoy nights in white satin, tuesday afternoon, the actor, etc-

even though the performance was weak, they are still one of my all time favorite bands. Nothing beat sitting down after a day in the field humpin a ruck and listening to nights in white satin or any of their other tunes on my walkman. Took me away to better places.

Iron Maiden at Radio City Music Hall . . . the concert opened with Winston Churchill on the huge Radio City Movie screen (the largest in the world) giving his "never in the course of human endeavor . . ." speech, and then Iron Maiden launched into Aces High. I still get chills thinking about it.
