there's a k&c collector in france who would buy sets from me on ebay but always failed to read the descriptions. so I sold him a few sets which had paint chips and a pharoahs chariot which had arrived damaged from k&c. now, you guys all know my descriptions, how accurate they are and backed up by the largest photos I can fit on ebay.
so this guy would receive these sets berating me about this or that. all i did was tell him that if he had read the descriptions and looked at the photos then he would have known. so he remedied this by asking my all the questions i had already answered in the description and finally stopped buying from me when I told him to either read my descriptions or do not buy from me.
I also sold a roman k&c figure to a buyer in Brazil or Argentina. The figure had some paint damage to the cornicen. all was photographed and described. he left me a positive that said "item not as described" and left me poor DSR's. I contacted him rather irately, copied and pasted the item description and asked that he change his ratings and feedback. He apologized but didn't think enough of his error to make the correction. that was very disappointing.
I had another buyer from Canada (and I've a lot of problems with Canadian buyers) who requested Priority shipping and then left a neutral "i could fit 10 of these in the box you sent". I contacted him and let him know the box had to be that size to accommodate the shipping labels and to please change the feedback. He told me to "eff off". so I am going to buy something from him pretty soon and return that favor.
yet another K&C buyer (this one Canadian and a member on this forum) got angry at me because the WS43 he bought had a "dirtier" box than what was shown in the photos and that clearly I had switched boxes to cheat him. He also said that the figures were not in their original packaging because they were wrapped in toilet paper "the kind you wipe your butt with" (which was the original tissue used by K&C). That guy was very special to me and will always be. Talking with this idiot is like banging your against a wall, breaking through the plaster, cracking the slats and going right up against the joists. He was that much fun. I still have the message he left for me. If you'd like to listen to it, I'll dig the link out. I had posted it here on the forum which sent the mods into a tailspin because he threatened to sue or some such nonesense.
I've got more of these experiences too but these are the ones which really stand out.
And if you think ebay gives two craps about a seller thinking a feedback isn't fair then you've a little surprise coming your way.
