Black Sails (1 Viewer)

I watched the first episode. Anything with pirates, ships, and lots of sex and violence can't be all bad. The show needs a good antagonist though.
 
I heard it kind of stalls in the middle episodes but I like pirate stories and will give this a shot.

I really wanted to like this show, but it's not happening so far. Boring and convoluted through the first three episodes. Some of the actors are good, but the plot is lame. Maybe if they ever get back on the sea things will move along.
 
Yep agree mate and there all to clean and sexy and modern as well if you get what i mean....................^&grin
 
And I though that Pirates have something to do with ships, sea battles and action. :confused:

Black Sails: Too much Bla Bla Bla and useless dialogues and very little Action.


So far I had more fun whatching "The Pirates! Band of Misfits". I actually bought the figures. :wink2:

Have the first 3 episodes recorded but haven't watched them yet.Not hearing a lot of good things about it but will judge for myself.

They managed to make even the sex and violence boring. I still hold out hope though.
 
I'm still watching this show, but man is it bad. Boring. I'm not sure if this is made by the same people that made Spartacus, but they have missed the mark here. Sparatacus was a great show. This is complete nonsense.
 
Actually like it anything with pirates is great in my book. I kind of like some of the characters, quite interesting!

I'm totally on board with you. I keep watching it because I had such high hopes for this show. It's soooooo hard to watch that I can barely make it through a whole episode. Major let down!
 
Haven't watch it yet but have it recorded.I think maybe I shouldn't read these reviews.Tomorrow nigt's episode is the last for this season,am I correct?

The season finale was a decent. Overall I give the first season a C+. The plot is a bit convoluted for a pirate show. They have clearly tried to keep the budget down by keeping most of the action on land. I do like some of the actors. But who knew all pirates had bleached pearly white teeth? They must have had a good dental plan.
 
Time to start on season 2. I thought the acting was pretty good in season one, but the story often dragged and was too complicated. A pirate show should be a lot more fun. But I'll watch anything with pirates.
 
Well I watched it a few months ago and I liked it very much.Seems more realistic.I love the Errol Flynn and Pirates of the Caribbean (1,2,4 anyway)movies but I thought this was very good.I even watched that Blackbeard on NBC even though it wasn't very good.Looking forward to season 2.

First esp wasn't bad. Upping the sex and violence is always a plus. I can't say this is a great show but I still watch it.
 
I'ved liked this show from the start. The only changes I would have made are.... Make Vance the lead male character, much more interesting than the whitebread Flint, and give Anne Bonney, a real pirate, a larger role, which it seems they've done with both roles. AAAAARRRRRRRRR
