I really like this show but as usual they have to play with the historical facts.Ned Low was a real pirate and a nasty one at that.He operated 1722-24 but here he is in Nassu in 1715.Why does the entertainment industry have to play with historical facts all the time.Do they not know that it drives history buffs crazy.Like I said before though I watch movies and tv for enjoyment and count on books for facts even though writers can slant the truth to what they think it is.

I wanted to like this series, I wanted it to grab me and pull me in.

It hasn't, I'm done.

We need another epic war series from any of these cable networks; Band of Brothers, The Pacific, we need another one.

A Civil War mini series would be epic if done right...............

George...Hell on Wheels is one of the best westerns since Deadwood...this is a good show...extremely hardcore and gritty!!!

Hell On Wheels is a great show.Sorry to see AMC doesn't promote it more.Next year will be it's final season.I still don't know why George and others doesn't like Black Sails.It has action,drama,romance,sex and I think the actors are pretty good.I think it does a good job depicting the the early 18th century.

downloaded Season 1 and Season 2 of Black Sails from On Demand last week...

I finally gave it a watch...
as Marco55 has touted it here and other threads...

watched them all...

I like this show...

pretty gritty...
decent plot...
good acting...

lots of plot twists...
seems like something is always altering the plot...

I think they extend some of the dialog scenes a little too far...

lots of long winded conversations...

the show definitely puts a shock value on violence, whorish characters and language...
which is not a bad thing really...
just a little over dramatized...

but pretty cool...
a good watch...

I definitely give it 2 thumbs up...

looking forward to Season 3-4...
