Thought I'd take a minute and post some pix of some of my new Prussian Landwher Napoleonics. Have 15 poses/variants with a variety of different faces with field caps and covered shako for Militia/Reserve infantry. Another 20 line poses alsmost done{ need to finish the standard bearer master} with a bunch 1/2 painted on the work bench.
I'll post pix of some of those once I get a few done.Have some Line foot gunners to make molds for as well as a few moreFrench too.Haven't painted much and I'm badly out of practice! It's coming back though.
Prussians was a fun project to tackle. In articular, I just wanted some Landwher and reserve troops for next months annual Waterloo insanities.I'll be posting pix of that too, just like last year.

Enjoy
FUBAR:)

Nicely done! Are you going to add a couple of Landwehrmänner wearing wooden shoes, too?

Prost!

Good idea Baron. Really hard to go wrong on the Prussians , lots of latitude regarding uniforms and equipment. All look good mixed up together in Militia units and such.Almost as fun as doing Confederate vetrans.

Fubar they look fantastic  love the paint jobs.
any idea when you might start working on some British?
Ragnar..

Vamp, They are metal.
Going to paint some in grey frock style coats and shako's too.

Ragnar, The British are about last on me list.I've been working on things I need to fill out collections and unavailable elsewhere. Right now, I'm up to my eyeballs in British.
Kind of Hypocritical because I''vbe got more French than anything else, and I'm making those. But again, they are types not normally seen for sale elsewhere.
Maybe I should do some casualty figs for inside and around British squares.

Slowly getting stuf painted.More French to work on today.

Fubar: Your new guys look neat and will fill a need for Napoleonic collectors. Nice job. John

Its all good Fub im sure you will get to some brits at some stage.. I have a heap of Timpo/Airfix/ACTA British to keep plugging along with for now.
Might look at getting some of your French kits very soon need to put some more metal on the table..
Ragnar

Have a small unit of Prussian Line finished at last.
Experimenting with a couple different cameras with varying results.
I still need to finish off the flagbearer master and one other poses. That would yield 20 different Prussian Musketeers with command.
Have a few more Landwher masters ready to mold up and I still have 16 Landwher wearing shakos to paint up.

Hope to have enough Prussians added to my collection by the middle of next month so we can turn our attention this year to the Prussians arrival at Waterloo.
FUB;)

You're right about the opportunity for variety that the Prussians offer in 1812-1815. They were still trying to climb out of the poverty of the French occupation, and the further you went from the Guard and line regiments, the more varied things became. They had some uniform pieces made and more or less donated by the Russians, and for some in the Landwehr, that greatcoat was their only uniform coat. For others, they had uniforms taken from some of the Napoleonic German vassal states, and the greatcoat covered what was otherwise the same uniform as some on the French side.

Prost!
Brad

Heres a shot of the Prussians closing in on some Blackcat French Grenadiers wide open flank.I'm going to paint some more duplicates of the Prussians and a few more of the French.Been really HOT here in the NW, finally cooling off.Much more pleasant in the cave for painting.

Baron, you are correct on your statments about the Prussian Army. Thats why I think they are fun to model. you can't hardly go wrong.
