Here are more photos of Bob Walker's fabulous 20,000 figure collection. None of the photos on this thread were posted on my earlier thread "Bob Walker 5th Annual Open House." What really makes Bob's collection very special is the way he integrates militaria, photos, prints, etc. into his displays. Here are some Imperial German and Austrian toy soldier displays which include figures from Bob's own creations, Dan Boline, Britains, Hiriart, and others.

These next photos are of some rare Hafner figures that he recently acquired who are manning a star fort.

This is a special commission of an early 1900s Russian Battleship that Bob ordered from Metal Shed. The Russian sailors are 54mm from Bastion Models to give you some idea as to the ship's size.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for sharing these photos! I am stunned at the amount of head gear he has acquired from the German/Prussian units. Some truly rare pieces there let alone the soldiers. Great fun seeing those Hafner figures as well, I have never seen that many in one place and never in that sort of condition. He must have put down a pretty penny for them...

I also liked the conversions he did from Britains figures as well very well done.

Hi Dave,

The head gear is truly amazing since Bob always tries to acquire the real thing, not replicas. As you may have guessed, they are not cheap. The Hafner figures were recently acquired from one source. Bob's conversions are mainly his own castings which he also painted.

Here is some more of his collection.

Most amazing collection I have ever seen. In addition to the magnificent figures, uniforms, helmets, prints, and other things, he has a very impressive library on display with many fine, old leather bindings in evidence. Salute! -- Al

I would agree---it is the most amazing collection I have ever seen, too. Be sure and check out the photos of his library in the other thread I mentioned above.

Bob has meticulously compiled 100s of 3-ring binders containing prints on various regiments, chronologicaly organized, using a special professional grade printer. Here are two photos of just a few of them. One could spend days (weeks, really) just going through these reference binders.
