Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (1 Viewer)

Jake,
I think a lot of us would kill for the space you have to do set-ups!!! Methinks that's real sand, right? How do you keep it from flowing over the board?

Mike, it is real sand, it don't really stop it from flowing over the side since it is in the back storage room of our house, and my mom is just happy it is not on her new carpet.

That's a neat set up Vick! Really like the terrain and hedgerows, they're very well done. Wish I had the space to lay out something that side. Well, I've got the space, but I've also got a wife and apparently Normady is not best suited to the living room.

Yes, it is the Conte Church. It's a great piece, especially when coupled with the priory set.

Hi Rod,

It is the limited edition K&C Winter Tiger - WS70SL. It was released under the WS series, rather than the Bulge - I'm not sure if the Bulge series had been started when it was released, although I could well be wrong there. It's a very cool set.

Funnily enough, I was discussing this tank with Frank (fmethorst) in relation to the markings, colour scheme and series of Tiger, as I want to repaint another Tiger to match. Few other projects on the go first though.

Cheers

Thanks!!! I really need to get my hands on the Conte WW2 buildings, I am aiming to create a couple of Normandy Dioramas this year, an Yank Pegasus Bridge, kinda based off Tony Neville's of K&C, and a Normandy Village like ONWTC, I saw this one in person at Michigan Toy Soldiers across the state. Hedgerows are just Moss from Hobby Lobby:eek:, and buildings are CTS Hougmont:eek:, with Hudson and Allen rubble. Wraith, if you're ever interested in making more room in the living room, and the Church unfortunatley has to go, I will gladley make room for them:p:cool:!!!!

Vick

P.S. Anyone who has the chance to stop by Michigan Toy Soldiers soon, do it, they have an excellent Civil War diorama out and the museum will be open during the January Michigan Toy Soldier Show!!:D:D:D:D:D

That's good of you to offer! But I think I'll hang on to it for a while.

If you're looking for Conte buildings, check in with George (Warrior on the forum) at Minutemen Toy Soldiers. He has one of those rare knacks of being able to come up with the stuff, long after it's retired.

Great Set-up Vick, is this next to your Normandy diorama or is it in a different room. Which building was the sniper in.

Brian

Darn!!!!! This means if I am going to get what needs to be completed for the collection 2009, I'm going to have to get a summer job:mad::mad:!!!!!!! Or do tons of more lawn work:mad:, if only I could get a job doing dioramas for Toy Soldier Stores like Joe Baker:D:D:D!!!!!

Oh I wish I was a millionaire!!!
