Just curious Martyn, how many Trophy sets and figures do you have?:D

Hi Vick

Approximately 250 ANGLO ZULU WAR sets and over 100 others including sets from EGYPT and THE SUDAN, AFGHAN, BOER and miscellaneous others. I also have over 100 single figures.

The butcher in deep discussion with a local young woman, not sure what they are talking about but it could involve trading for the joint of meat the butcher has under his arm;)

Great Martyn !!!!

Although Melton Prior looks a bit like Bruce Forsyth does he not ? :D Nice to see you.............

Is the goat part of that set? Britains made that one in plastic (minus the cord) and also in metal for the 1990's Home Farm sets.

Cheers again !!!

Another great selection of figures you put in front of your camera Martyn depicting an event in the Sudan.......The Lt.

Martyn,
You never cease to pull more rabbits out of your hat! More truly rare and fabulous sets!
Mike

Many thanks Randy, Scott, Joe and Mike. I'm having great fun putting the pictures together.

Scott, the goat comes with the Sudan version of the Field kitchen along with the Arab girl, Melton Prior figure is a Brucey bonus:D

Cheers

Martyn:)

A 1SG cut off from the rest of the company during the beginning chaos of predawn bombardment during Operation Cobra takes aim with his Tommy gun with drum mag...UH-OH!!!   This guy looks like trouble for any unfortunate Wermacht and SS that cross his path!:D;)

I picked this up while I was in Gettysburg this past month, I've long sought this set and almost had a heart attack when I found it!:D:eek: It's called, "The Sarge".

Looks good Vick !!!

What the grass mat you are using? Hudson & Allen?

Thanks Scott!:) No, the mat is neither H&A, B-A-R, or JG, it's actually a fake fur I found in my basement, and then stained, unfortunately it stains the bases if they are left on to long, so I only keep them on for 20-30 min. when playing with it.:( But I consider myself lucky to have found it, and I'm in the process of trying to find more at local fabric stores!:) As I only have about 18"x36" right now...

Vick

Well you had me fooled  It looks really good. One thing you could do regarding colouring it is to buy white fun fur, then buy either fabric paint or dye. Then you shouldn't have any problems with them staining your figures.

Good show !!!!

:D:D:D

Thanks for the info Scott!:) I actually attempted the dye on this mat, didn't work, that said haven't found any white fur yet. Just need to get a sheet 4'x8' to fit my giant diorama table! :D ;)

Just thought of something, if it is a man-made fibre it may not take the dye so well. You may want to try a fabric store and ask an employee what they think is best. Good luck though it certainly has potential, they may even have dark green fur :D :D

Scott,

I'm hoping they have a green fur!:) I'm just also attempting to hone in on cutting the fabric down to nothing and then creating roads!:D
