I wouldn't bank on the sun coming out any time soon. Last summer lasted all of 10 days of full sun.

So I'll be around for a long time yet :D:D:D

Best wishes Mark.

So cool Ragnar:D:D:D

Right up my street,

I'm reading British Battles of the dark ages at the moment by Peter Marren

With legendary military leaders like ,Arthur, Alfred and Canute, and with literally hundreds of battles to get my teeth into. Great read.:D

Your diorama could be Penda King of Mercia ,fighting the west Saxons at the battle of Maserfield.

Best wishes Mark

Ragnar great looking collection that's certainly on the "cutting edge" ;) of our hobby. Thought I would "paint" another picture this morning.

Hi Ragnar

Any photo's or dioramas of , Inwaer (Ivar the Boneless) in your collection? son of Ragnar.

I've just come across him today , in the book I'm reading in work . ( lunch time )

He's just sacked Jorvik ( York ) with his brothers Halfdan Ragnarsson (Halfdene) and Ubbe Ragnarsson (Hubba).

you should give them more chores around the house to keep them out of mischief.:D:D:D

I live in Plymouth, Devon , which is in the old Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Alfred the Great's, Wessex ( West Saxon ).:)

Best wishes MARK

Hi Mark

Don't have anyother dark ages pics besides the ones i posted early in the year.
Do have have a Harold Godwinson i need to paint up so when he's done will set something up with him.
Would like to go to the UK in a few years the wife has been there i have not :(. plenty of sites to check out (Hastings would be good to walk around).
Now if i can just finish building my Viking ship i will be on my way :).

Many thanks Joe, Scott and Mark.

Great news, If you do visit the UK you could visit the following.

Buckingham palace and St Paul's Cathedral.
Tower of London
Stone Henge
Roman city of Bath
Exeter Cathedral
Dartmoor National Park
My house in Plymouth ( Mayflower steps )
Jamaica inn (Daphne du Maurier's novel )
Tintagel castle home of king Arthur.

Not bad itinerary, Hey!!!

Best wishes to you and your family.

Mark
