That camp fire in your third picture is massive!! I know the Guard was elite and they probably could make a fire bigger and better than the rest of the French army put together!. Is Guyfawkes a French name by any chance ?. You've given me a massive smile , lots of childhood, bonfire night memories coming flooding back.
