Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (1 Viewer)

Great photos the one of the General was super along with the close up shot of the machine gun team. Hope all's well....Joe

Thanks Joe, I also greatly admire your amazing Zulu diorama - I don't have any red coated soldiers but I think they look the best. Fantastic way you took us through the action. :D :D I just shot a couple of hundred more pics today, here are a couple more......Best wishes, Kevin

These are some older ones, none of them look quite the same in miniature....:) They really show the high standard of the work by the makers..:D

Thanks, No, indoors and by USA standards probably a mild temperature 10-12 centigrade (thanks to the Gulf Stream) - just low winter light. Best wishes.

Kevin, as usual, excellent pictures. Kind of makes me miss all the snow we haven't had so far this winter.......NOT!:D Did you say a couple HUNDRED more pictures....... oh boy, here we go. Just kidding, Kevin, can't get enough of that HB winter panther and those winter K&C's.;) Thanks

Fred

Yes I did Fred, about 150 - 200 main pics then when I get time I'll chop out from the main pic some good shots. Brad has a lot to answer for, since he helped me downsize the shots I try to compose the shots more when I take them - before I would tend to take a wide picture then cut for a good shot, now - like with the general - I'll try for the shot, trim it then save it. I have nearly 10,000 photos at present. They are best in max mode 3500 instead of 500 across as they then fill the screen. I have them on my screensaver and can sit and watch for ages..... When I get time I'll have another look at my older stuff to reduce. Here are a few samples - including some much older stuff - you can probably tell. I love this stuff!:D

Panda ................ I really like that natural lighting............................Firebat

The tarp came from an old Opel Blitz 1/35 model I had sometime ago. However, Mark Vuncannon, Build-A-Rama created an number of other tarps for other KC vehicles I have like the US GMC 6x6 truck, the Grille, etc.

Here a few which most of you may have seen already. Gee those ribs on the GMC are sure hard to keep secure.

Carlos

Very good pics I like the texture..................

Please continue to keep us entertained. I'm really enjoying the character close ups, to me they adds a lots of reality to your photos... Looking forward for more to come. More Redcoats on the way in the future.....Joe

Joe, some older pics...:) I still like the old panther and the FJs are the first infantry I ever bought!

panda1gen is serious about the screensaver idea. He has over 1000 fantastic KC and HB pics--would people be interested in buying something like this if he were to make it available to the masses?

Or would you cease getting any work done at your desk because you were too busy gazing at the computer screen and waiting in anticipation for the next shot?;)

Hi Shannon,

Can you or Panda be more specific about the nature of the pics? Are they all WW II scenes, figures, etc. Are they all K&C and Honour Bound figures/vehicles?

My interests are quite broad and if the screen saver was composed of only WW II scenes and only K&C and Honour Bound figures/vehicles, I would not be particularly interested. However, if there were a great variety of conflicts, eras, and manufacturers depicted, my interest would be heightened.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Dear Pat

Boring WW2 I'm afraid, I can't collect everything I would want  - which is them all of course...:D I could do say early WW2, late, winter, desert or mix. My early photos were not too good but I think I'm improving...and of course so are the pieces.

.....and I could shoot some more if someone would lend me the Naploenics, Romans, Zulus etc LOL:D :D

Very best wishes

Hi Panda,

I think your pictures are outstanding! I have enjoyed every picture you have posted to the forum. However, I simply appreciate variety. The variety I would most enjoy would include, but not be limited to, WW II.

I don't know if anyone would "loan" you some Napoleonics, Romans, Zulus, etc., but if you were willing to photograph figures in other collectors homes, you might see some really neat collections! ;)

You might also want to know that just because your proposed screen saver would only consist of WW II figures does not mean I would not seriously consider purchasing it. I think the wording of my post was that I would be less interested, not disinterested! :D

You do great work. Please keep sharing it with us.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Whew! I have gone over all 94 pages of this thread. You guys are very talented, both diorama-wise and photo-wise. If I wore a hat I would take it off to you all!:)

It would be nice if we had a thread with just the photos of the diorams only so we didn,t have to go through 94 pages to see all the doiramas. Is there any way we could get the photos on a thread without the comments to make viewing the dioramas easier and cut way back on the amount of pages to go through?
