Lt.,

Is it me or do you have a thing for battles where conventional forces are wdecimated by forces of natives? Zulus, Souix, I'm thinking the Battle of Chillianwallah can't be far behind!

Sorry John, I've been busy at the farm.Converting the barn into a series of shops and storage/tractor and truck parking areas.
Weather was so nice all Oct and Just up to a few days ago and I just kept plugging along.
took out all the corrals, chutes mangers ect.Dumped in 240 tons of gravel, I forget how many yards of cement.
My 24 x 40' hobby room is all framed in and roofed.Putting old barn wood on the outside and hanging old farm implements there. Looks nice.
I work at about 1/4 speed so its taking a while but just like painting entire armies, just keep chipping away for the good results.

The pix were from a wargame. No staged shots. It was a great time, my friends enjoyed themselves very much so I was pleased.I know the men who did it for real did NOT have a great time.

One more.

OOps did the wrong one. Meant this one.
Still have a Platoon of Marines 1/2 done sitting on the work bench, Some Japanese too. Have to force myslef to finish them before I put all this stuf away.

Eborris, I just bought a new camera too. 8 mega pixel with x 12 zoom. Should be better images than this old Sony 2 mp does!

Fubar: Sounds like you will have a nice hobby area. The work part seems rough to do with your disability. Your dad still going strong? Talk later. Mary went to disneyland with grandson. John

John, Have fun being a Bachelor for a while as Mary and the boy enjoy disneyland!

Yes it's a drag at times. I go slow, try and use my head rather than my back. Have all the gear and equipment in the world so it's not too bad.A little forklift work, or use the tractor with the loader to lift big stuf. Bought a Framing nailer after the 1st day.Much better!
My dads helping with advise and a little muscle .He's 82, tough as nails.Has every concievable tool iron lumber, you name it all over the place. I bought 50 studs, thats it.
I made the wall frames little by little. Then slung them with some cargo straps { wonder where those came from?} used a pully slung from a rafter and pulled the up with the fourtrax.Worked perfect.Got'em in place, plumbed and level, hit'em with the nail gun.Roof went slow. Even for me but it's done too.

Should have taken about 2 days.More like a week but it's done.
Been at this everyday since the day after OTSN.

Enough hawgwash.Heres a pic

Nice to see you back Fub you've been missed and thanks for the photos can I assume (hate the word) that you took them with your new camera. Seems like you've been a busy lad since OTSN. Seems like a group of the Mrs. planned trips to FL at the same time could they be a plotting something. Debbie aka Boots Mrs., John's as well as yours. Again nice seeing you back take care and be well.....The Lt.

LT. The Grenadiers I shot last Summer before OTSN .My Nieces Hipro NIKON.
My wife wanted a new digital so I bought a Cannon powershot 8mp x 12 zoom. We figured it was more than suitable for her and at least adequate for miniature shoots. She likes it. I have to play with it somemore before I decide if I NEED another one.
Wer bought it almost a week ago and I Just now got around to a couple shots tonite.

Bear with me. I'm experimenting. Lets see how these come out.

I made a little room on the Pacific battleground and set up a few Spartans and Persians.

I'm still getting the hang of this new camera. The images look so much better on my computer than once posted. I dunno why.
I'm trying to find just the right pixels and file size. Shooting in the dark, but I'm narrowing it down.

Thanks all.
