Hi All,
I visited London last weekend (mainly for my wedding anniversary), however I managed to sneak off and check out some of the latest Britains' releases. My first port of call was The Guards Toy Soldier Centre near Wellington Barracks. After a very interesting chat with Lynn Kenwood, I purchased 3 of the latest British Waterloo foot guards and despite the fact they seem to cost a £ more every couple of months, they were still worth the purchase price. As a member of the Union Jack Club in Waterloo (London!),I overheard someone at the bar mention that some Britain' figures were on sale just around the corner on Lower Marsh street, this was news to me so I made a beeline for the shop and lo and behold - not 100 yards from where I was staying was a model and bookshop which indeed had a respectable amount of Britains' figures. The shop is also worth a look for it's many related books etc. It is located across the road from the famous Old Vic theatre. Coming from the North East, it made a nice change to see some of my favourite figures in "the flesh"
All in All.....not a bad Anniversary
Regards,
Johnboy.
